you would think so...but sadly no. Still, the people here are friendlier than over east. And richer (it's the oil thing; that and laundering as many Rands as you can!). Must be something about watching the sun bleed into the sea everyday that makes people here friendlier. I take it from your comment Dean that you don't know what snafu stands for?  |

I know someone that was a millionaire in Perh during the late 80's before the recession hit in the early 90's. Some of his stories are fantastic - what a time to be alive.

SNAFU = Situation Normal All Fucked Up
The term orientated among soldiers in world war 2. Related to the other military slang term FUBAR (Fucked Up Beyond All Repair) of which has been taken by computer programmers to be a metasyntactic variable of 'foo' and 'bar'. It maybe also be where the Foo Fighters get their name from. They're fighting the mysterious force of 'foo'. Kung foo?
