Doesn't that also mean that if EVERBODY couldn't or didn't pay out someone else's taste in music, wouldn't that mean that we all liked the same stuff anyway? It's sorta like politics, we're allowed to attack the opposition viewpoint. I don't remember anyone here attacking steph as a person for listening to Jack Johnson... except for that sleeping joke... which i enjoyed...

I'm just saying that i find Jack Johnson quite boring. I didn't say steph couldn't listen to them, or she should be shot for listening to him. I think, because it was tacked on right after Mark's comment, that it was seen in a negative light. I didn't attack Steph's taste in music as a whole.

Aren't I allowed to voice my opinion about a certain artist? I mean, if this was the case, wouldn't that sorta be like, censorship?
I didn't call steph a wanker or a teeny bopper or whatever, I just said that I didn't like the artist she likes.

Blah. Point being, if I like whatever band, I don't give a fuck that you might dislike them. So why should I hear about your opinion whenever I mention them (and it's not just, "I don't like them" but lame jokes and whatever). It's really fucking old.

Well, if you don't care, you don't need to raise up such a hootinanny about it.

Again, this comes back to the whole "if you don't like it, don't read/listen/watch it" thing. You can't just tell everyone to stop publicly disliking a band because you don't like them doing so. If they're personal attacks, then, yes, you have every right to speak out, but there haven't been any "oh man, i can't believe you like them! you're such a loser!" or "OMG, how could you listen to them?!?!?!".

I don't care what you think, so that means I don't want to hear what you have to say about it either. I don't mind if you don't like whatever band, but it's the same thing whenever someone mentions any band at all. Everyone has an opinion. Like here, you could've all just said something like 'not interested, not going' or hey, not posted at all.

I don't expect there to be any posts like those because we're all pretty mature (I hope) here. Still, if there's a post about some band I like, I want to come in here to sing praises with other fans, not here about how they put you to sleep. Big deal, some bands you like might send me to sleep, doesn't mean you want me to tell you that does it?
