you've rendered me speechless. I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment (I have my provisional licence test in 40 minutes - and yes, I am 25 and yes, this is the first time). But will this do for the moment?

well, I just failed the test. I forgot to indicate while doing a 3 pt turn, and that constituted an instant fail. I'm ropeable. It was the only thing I did wrong.
Oh Kim-b - my girlfriend actually drove me to Dubbo (not Wagga) with the computer.

Ii failed my first time too. They have this lovely law in the NT, where you can turn left at red lights after stopping. I thought I stopped, but apparently the wheels were still moving every so slighty (sureeeee), so I technically ran a red light = instant failure. There were NO cars anyway, but yeah, technicalities for ya. Passed my 2nd time round with a 94.

Other sister has tried about 8 times and is still trying to pass. Hmm.

I am too nervous to go and try again...........I really had just assumed I'd pass the test without a problem.

I got it first go! but I must say our license testing is substandard....more about your ability to park and do three point turns, driving skill does not come into it
I believe for a license test the driver should have to perform an emergency stop in both wet and dry conditions as I think this is one of the most important parts of driving......being able to perform a perfect parrellel park does nothing for road safety! (though it is probably good for insurance companies)
