I just downloaded this mIRC thing...I had/have no idea what the hell it is, but I heard you could get bootlegs from it.... so I download it and I said, "this looks confusing"
So anyways I learnt out to chat...then I went into the help room and all these people started talking to me in a different language, so being me I panicked and absolutely shit myself…. I still have no idea what it is, and I’m very scared of this mIRC thing

And thats my story, can anyone (who speaks english) tell me what the hell it is?

It maybe funny that i shit myself coz of this, but it was so scary i had no idea what was going on!

Don't worry Claire, I had a similar experience last night!

I had it all downloaded and I was in there with about 4 other people.
But I had no idea how to use it.......NO idea.
I felt quite intimidated......

Nah, don't feel intimidated by what you're unfamiliar with. You're all intelligent and can figure it out. If the billions of stupid people out there can work how to use it, then you certainly can too. That's always been my attitude at least.

I haven't properly been on IRC for awhile since I've been bogged down with study. I suspect most other people here are in a similar predicament at the moment? When the holidays arrive, which is soon, I'll be in there again more often. Hope to you see ya'll there.

This might sound like a stupid question but...what is a leech? ahh ...i'm guessing it has to do with download songs yeah?
computers get me so frustrated!

yeah, leeching is when you're downloading mp3/s off someone - you're leeching off them.

it can be intimidating, but if you sit there and try figure it all out, you usually can. they've set it up to be somewhat easy to figure out, so you'll get it eventually - don't shit yourself unnecessarily!

and i'm not on there lately because i'm not on my computer at home where all my mp3s are, so i can't share, and there is no point downloading anything to this laptop because i can't get it off it again. so, i'll be back in mirc within a few weeks when i get back home. seya kiddlies then.
