Okay well I had to pick my yr 9 electives yesterday and the teachers were going on about doing things you wanted to do for your career.
I thought it would be interesting to know what you wanted to be when you where younger....and what you are now.
and thats about it!
Thanks, Collette

Stephie posted a simular topic - but it was for her senior subjects. i picked drama, art and graphics - i dunno why, i only do 1 of them now!
and dont think that you HAVE to pick ones that relate to what ur gonna do post-school. they told us the truth, and that these subjects in 9 & 10 are designed to let you get a feel of the subjects and how they work.
hope zat helps.

When I was little I wanted to be an actress or some famous pop singer, like many kids did. My ideas have changed and varied a bit since what did you end up choosing, collette?

oh, and for what we're doing now, I recently chose my electives for next year too and i've got fine art, media, music performance, literature and psychology.
And yeah as deane said, mainly you're just getting the idea of each subject, so you can eventually narrow it down to youre main subject you're interested in the end. If that makes any sense...

I think its best is you choose subjects that dont lead to one career path.... For Next years subjects i have picked... Lit English Drama legal studies VET-Automotive Tech.
and a few other things...
But anyways the best advice i can give you is to pick subjects you like or what your good at...otherwise you'll wont want to go to school, your marks will be down...and you'll just feel like shit basically

Looks like a good choice, and if you have any problems with French I'm happy to help.

When i was young i really wanted to be a photographer for national geographic or a national park ranger. Then high school came along and i got into all the business and humanities subjects. And started a business degree which i'm 2/3 of the way through, but have just added a public policy major to it which i intend to use in studying environmental protection. So its kinda come full circle almost. But by the time i finish i'm sure i will have changed my mind again.
