Ok, I'm in, but how does a branch work exactly? Branches trade with you, the master trunk, for new shows, which in turn they will blank and post to leaves?
I just finished a trade with Mr. Hughes, (yes I posted today if you are reading!) and I think if both people pay for their own postage it woks out pretty even. Mine costed $1.80 including the disc mailer envelope and his was about $1.40, so postage isn't much bother, but sending blanks is a good idea. I never thought of that 1! I got turned off the whole posting trades when I sent Cds to someone in Malaysia for some movies and never saw my end of the bargain met.
And another suggestion, I would suggest if we could trade sets in MP3 format, as this would:
- Allow additional info to be included within the MP3s themselves in the ID3 tags - Save us the time of ripping, encoding, tagging the sets ourselves to add to our MP3 collections - If everyone trades in MP3, when you get on IRC to download from various different people, they would have the *exact* same mp3 file, so resuming would be all good.
Of course you could trade in CDA format if you like, I just thought this would standardize the whole thing so everyone ends up with the exact same files and when you go looking for 1 or 2 tracks out of a set, you know you will find the right ones.
Oh and, count me as a... i dunno? I dont have too many SFK bootlegs and don't have any chance of recording new ones so I would have to be a branch? I got a lot of other live stuff though.

i'm in too.
it sounds like there are a fair amount of people, so is this definitely going to be a goer?
how are we going to go about setting up branches and leaves. should we have a structure before we start? or will each person just post on here as they receive the bootleg and ask for traders?

I think katy will have that all worked out! I think katy is really just trying to start her own cult like Mr. Hubbard and get us paying her many dollars! All the things that aren't good about trading bootlegs...

Damn you found out my evil plan [not] Yeah when i get off my lazy butt i'll post the details about the tree on the site and to the bootleg trader list then i'll work out who does what etc and then post the details.

I'd like to be a leaf, please. I'm serious about this - does anyone here practice magick? I need some sort of spell to turn me into a nice autumn leaf, fresh off the tree from a beautiful breeze. It sounds so wonderful... floating in the wind, dancing on air, landing on the murky waters of a river... (he he) Oh and I'd also like to be a leaf on the bootleg tree, if you please I'm sure that doesn't require a spell. cheers!

I wish i had something to offer!! I'm just desperate to get some sfk stuff. I do get the albums etc shipped but ideally i'd like to hear some paul dempsey solo stuff. I have located some mp3's but have no way to burn them. Can someone help out a fan over in Scotland?
