my contribution shall be a deep meaningful (much like the poem) spoke word track, but intergrated will be approprate sound effects such as ants giggling eviliy and the sound of ones pants being stolen

i think this poem is fantastic. It has depth. It takes a problem, one that is very real to all of us all, real to society, and deconstructs it layer by layer. The opening line presents the reader with a question - one that is asked time and time again as the poem progresses. The plight of the narrator is expressed and we are transported in her world - a very dark and disturbing landscape of pain, suffering and missing pants. We see things through her eyes, and her eyes only. What do we make of these ants? Are they ants in the figurative sense? Are they a reflection of modern society and its "like to dance". Or are they yet another key, to battle raging inside the head of this mysterious "amy"? The rage she feels is evident - "we shall dance, on the ants", it is clear that agression is the solution she has chosen, yet although the outcome is predicted ("to reclaim my beloved pants") we are never told of the actual ending. Therefore I conclude "Dude Where's my Pants?" is really asking us "Should we be solving our problems with agression?"
