He would say something like... "what's this communion thing anyway? Since when did I tell my followers to do that? What are ya's making up crap and trying to blame me for it 2000 years down the road?" or something to that effect maybe I dont see why "the Church" (I've assumed this denotes the Catholic church?) dont just let them go anyway. It's not like they've done it before, practically all of their ideas and teaching have some form of pagan origin or compromise in them that was introduced years back just to get more numbers into the church. Why not just do 1 more? Not like they'll be making God any happier if they dont!

Wholeheartedly agree with ya Catfish, not that i believe in god, but if there was one why do these crusty old geezers think that they could have the right to tell people how they should act, what they can and can't do. For my mind organised religion is just a messed up idea, but if thats what makes ya hapy then go for it, but if you do wanna believe in god and all that stuff then do it on your own terms. What saddens me more than anything is that ideaof a "god" for most people has become an excuse for being irresponsible, its as if people want to shirk the responsibilities we have as human beings and just sit back and say its in gods hands. If there really was a god would he let 2 billion people starve to death, no there is no god, only humans would allow 2 billion people to live in absolute poverty. Thats my say, sorry if i am offending anyone but i couldn't help myself.

I wish the church would recognise that males, regardless of their sexuality, just like to be putting their bits in a nice warm place. Shouldn't we be celebreating our commonalities rather than our differences? For the love of God.........

The reason why 2 Billion people are starving is because human beings have chosen to reject God. To a lot of people this still doesn't explain a lot of things but it is true. What you have to ask yourself is if their was no God would we be here at all? the answer is no.
You may think that the big bang started things but I doubt an explosion created 6 billion completely individual human beigns and countless billions of plants and animals.
Man (and Woman) chose to reject God by sinning and now we do not have a relationship with him

Kinda akin to saying that because I can hit a rock against another rock, and make a sound in the process, I am qualified to play first Violin in the London Symphony Orchestra. The Big Bang created places which proved to be places where life could thrive. The first creatures weren't exactly advanced individuals But two billion years of mutation can do some surprising things

The reason 2 billion people are starving is because human people are selfish - not because of God. We've been given enough resources to feed the world over 6 times, but don't because of waste and ignorance. Of these 2 billion people that are starving, I imagine most of these would be relative innocents - would a right and just God persecute them because of the mistakes of others? I think not.......

Here here! Precisely. You really need to read a book called Myths about World Hunger. All the religious people that hassle you at the beach and the mall talk about this crap too. Have you actually thought about it or are you just spawning off what they told you? When Etheopia (excuse my horrid spelling) had that big famine? Does everyone remember? Well there food exports had TRIPLED during that time. Other wealthy countries go and buy the land in these countries so the locals have no where to grow crops of their own. They can of course grow crops to export to us for a cheap price. They are also in poverty so are much easy to exploit by people like Nike, Macca's and the like. ANyway i hope that made sense.

Mmm, true, (but to play devil's advocate, erm, sorta), the priests that rape people aren't exactly practising what they preach.

As a young impressionable mind going to a catholic school...we are taught that God created all and that that he/she is where we came from...And like the majority of the youth today, I tend to reject the idea that I got zapped on earth by "God". Sometimes the catholic religion makes sense, and I am ashamed to say it scares me...but I can't fathom all of the earth being created by and imaginary creature....
My advice is, people can believe whatever they want, as long as they can justify it. You may wish to believe that your shoe is almighty...if you can tell us all why then you have found the key to the bigger picture. There is nothing worse than people saying "yeah god doesn't exist" or, "God is the creator" and then they cannot explain why.
In regards to homosexuals not being able to have communion in church. That is completely wrong and I think they should be allowed to pratice their religion to the full extent, even communion. The reason why they cannot have communion, is because the laws that dictate the catholic church's rules have not been changed since the last Vatican council in the early sixties. Now think of the ideals of the majority of people and clurgy in the sixties and think of how is has changed now. That doctrine from the sixties is what catholic priests abide by. Of course they need to update it. Unless they go back, have another council meeting and evaluate the laws again...there is no use in anyone whining, cause the church is the church...and it will always be like that. Difficult and ridiculous to an extent.
