Shark! The Herald Angels Sing! Rave Magazine (Brisbane) 16th June 1999 [http://www.somethingforkate.com]
(excerpt)
Some two years ago, Something For Kate’s Paul Dempsey found himself in his band in a total impasse. “Something For Kate, at the time, the line-up was very different, and we were in a very upset state, “Paul explains matter-of-factly.
“Things weren’t working out, and, um, it was uncomfortable basically. What was going on in the band at that time was really uncomfortable, and none of us were particularly enjoying ourselves, and we kind of didn’t know where to put ourselves. We weren’t really rehearsing because basically - I can’t speak for the other two - but I didn’t feel I could come to rehearsal and offer anything. We just were in a bad state. So I went and made a record by myself, “ he concludes with a self deprecating laugh.
That record, released under the moniker of Scared Of Horses, was one of the lost gems of 1997, a glorious album in which Paul collaborated with a range of guest vocalists (including Not From There’s Heinz). I suggest to Paul that Scared Of Horses was the perfect circuit break-er to the tensions within Something For Kate, but he prefers to describe it as “a contingency plan.”
“I didn’t know where to put myself,” he continues, “so I went and did something else basically. I think a lot of the music on the Scared Of Horses album now I actually have some regrets that I didn’t actually hang on to it and use it with Something For Kate. I think a lot of it could have been great Something For Kate stuff, but the way we were at the time, I didn’t feel I could do it. We weren’t in a situation where I could come to rehearsal and say ‘Hey, I’ve got a great idea’. For me, it was just, I’ve got to get this out of my system, and I’ve got to do it somehow, so I’m going to do this. The only way I could get it out of my system was to go and record it myself, and it was just sort of like, so be it, I’m just going to go and do it.”
I guess this answers whether or not Paul will do another solo album. SFK seem to be working hard all the time now so i doubt Paul will have another solo venture unless the band takes a break for awhile.

The intro bit is a small part of the last track, Districts of Elvis. Its 24s long, If I remember right.
And there's no way I'm parting with the copy!!
Anyone posted the lyrics to it anywhere?
