The battle for Helms Deep only lasts about ten pages in the book if I remember right...but they focused half an hour on it, becuaes hey, big battles are kickarse, an' stuff ;D And watching the Ents tear shit up was worth the entry price alone

I saw it (here in Canada) a few days ago and I must say I liked it a lot more than the first one. It had a lighter storyline and followed 3 different sets of people's journey's which made it more interesting to me. - So many Aussie's in it. ;D

I saw it today and WHEW! Well worth the money - except I pay to see a movie, not fifty billion ads prior to it. The movie was very different to the book, so it surprised me so much, and i really enjoyed it.

yeah that eowhyn or whatever chick is sure a looker.. What.. oh we're talking about two towers? (Because i just not so many eohwyns.. eowyn, eowhyn, whatever..)..
I liked it more then the first movie, but I was hoping that they could add some comical relief to the ents (I like the fact how they said nothing is worth saying unless it takes a long time) But i thought it would be hilairious if one of the ents was like skinny and had an afro and has a high pitched african-american voice, and like one was stuck up and french.. but that's just me, i just thought it may break up tension, but gollum was good, very very good representation of the creature..
Overall the movie was good..

But i thought it would be hilairious if one of the ents was like skinny and had an afro and has a high pitched african-american voice, and like one was stuck up and french.. Sorry but.. URGH!!! the ents (I like the fact how they said nothing is worth saying unless it takes a long time) This is made clearer in the books. One thing that bugged me about the movie was how Treebeard said he couldn't help because it didn't involve the Ents then he sees the destruction of the forest and he SUDDENLY changes his mind. Wrong Wrong Wrong. The Ents should have already known what Saruman was doing, and they shouldn't have decided so quickly at any rate.
