Harpoon, a little tip: Even if you are completely desperate, don't admit it. It's the way the universe perversely works. The more you want something, the less likely you'll get it. So you have to sorta act like you don't want it while trying to get it at the same time.
The world's a bit messed up like that.

I've been trying this for so long that i've convinced myself it's true. Still not working though. Yeah, ditto. It's the watched pot never boils theory. It's not easy to get around. Sometimes I wish I could be a stoic realist and not be disheartened by reality, but it's just the way it is for now I guess. Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching. Sing like nobody's listening.

we all need hope, and that's just a negative way of looking at it. Sure, sometimes it seems like its all against you, but you get your share of luck, and what you want...

I disagree with this statement with certain things. For example, with certain things, if you want them bad enough, it may feel effortless and easy to gain. Anyway... I know you didn't mean for every single thing, so yeah. Sparky: you sexist bitch! By the way, you didn't specify that they had to be single... homewrecker!

I know you didn't mean for every single thing, so yeah. I know yeah. It's like with this new job I got recently, it wasn't as much an effort to get that. I just applied, got through the first two interviews, dressed up for the last interview, made myself sound more confident and experienced than I was, handed in my résumé, and hey presto, I'm employed. Hmm, okay. I think I remember Seinfeld saying that human relationships should be like applying for jobs. You go to the job interview, hand in your résumé, and if you're successful you take your clothes off. Hmm.

Working in the music department (yeehar) of Megamart. The hours fit in well with tafe so it's good. And it's the music department. Woo.

If I asked to purchase a copy of Avril Lavigne's "Skater Boi", would you smile and help me out, or punch me in the f*cking mouth like the tryhard dickhead I would be?

Probably the latter but then I'd have to do the same to most customers, and I'd probably lose the job.
