Did anyone catch Buffy last night. Pretty choice bro, huh?
Any bets on how long either Buffy retires or Dawn gets her own spinoff show.... with everyone dying, where do you go from here?
Anyone else concerned about how Giles GAVE willow all this badass power, then willow, instead of just killing some punks, tried to [glow=red,2,300]DESTROY THE WORLD[/glow] (again..) then right at the end, Giles was like, "i meant to do that".
Yeah right, and i suppose you MEANT to let her escape from the binding spell and you MEANT to almost get killed like fiftyy gazillion times....dork.
Zander, however, is cool.

i watched for the first time in agges hehe aparantly there is only one more season? not sure about this though yes, i thought the giles almost dying thing was a bit strange and yes, when did she go from killing 2 people to the world..i missed something.. and what was the spike thing? i'm confused because i haven't been watching...did the big, black, green eyed thing say he gave him back his soul? did he want his soul? or is this a twist? please explain Xander (the x from alexander ) has always been the best. he had the best calls when they were in highschool..hehe

The spike thing - he wanted the chip removed so he could "give the slayer what she deserves"... but the demon guy gave him his soul back, not because he wanted that, but because the slayer deserves a soulful man.
or something like that.

I don't about anyone else, but Dawn just annoys the hell out of me. I was so like "YEAH!" when Willow was imitating Dawn's irritating voice in the last episode. I'm glad Giles is back, he was a good character, but now how the hell are they going to deal with Spike.....I reckon they should have killed him off when they had the chance. Anyone follow Angel....now that shows just getting better and better.....well, except for Cordy's hair cur recently.

That is so fucking derivative. Of itself to think about it. They've done the whole "Vampire with a Soul" thing aready, and it used to be quite a fresh concept. There isn't an instrument small enough to measure my interest in Spike becoming a good guy............

That is so fucking derivative. Of itself to think about it. They've done the whole "Vampire with a Soul" thing aready, and it used to be quite a fresh concept. There isn't an instrument small enough to measure my interest in Spike becoming a good guy............ It's slightly different to Angel I think. Angel's a vampire with a soul yes, but he also has the curse hanging over him. Is Spike even a vampire still now? Either way, it's still slightly different to Angel. Anyway, the whole Spike-as-a-goodguy has been foreshadowed. Look back at season two where Spike was different to other vampires. Even then, he wasn't as crazy as The Master, Drusilla, Darla, and Angelus. He didn't want the world to end. He had attachments to the human world and liked watching the soccer. Also, I think Spike's sitch parallels some of the other characters from this season - particularly Warren. Both were spurned by their lovers and became evil. Warren turned into a bitter misogynist and Spike into a vampire. But due to the chip controlling his actions, and his love for Buffy, Spike's become less evil. Maybe now with his soul restored he'll get a chance for redemption. This love-conquers-all idea is seen in how the main plot with Willow was resolved. Her power and rage which was based on vengeance was nullified because Xander unconditionally loved her. She'd become 'nothing' when Tara died and slipped into despair. A lot of the characters this season had fallen into despair, and the trouble with despair is that once you fall into it, it's hard to get out. If you give into self-pity and bury yourself in a hole, you can't realise that people do care and that there is hope. In fact, you refuse to allow hope. So when Xander almost sacrificed his life to stop Willow he broke her despair shield. She couldn't be 'nothing' anymore because someone loved her so much that he was willing to die for her. He had 'nothing' else but her, which made her 'someone' again. Giles summed up best the problem with despair - "sometimes the most adult thing to do, is to ask for help". So I suppose Buffy and Dawn climbing out of the literal hole in the ground at the end of the episode, was symbolic of this idea of climbing out of despair.

i mainly watch it for the comedy.... those 2 lame ass friends of warren were quite funny. Xander usually has good line or 3, and Anya is quite funny sometimes...
oh, and did i mention that Buffy has a sweet arse?

I'm quite partial to Buffy's arse as well - but by God I miss Faith....Eliza Dushku was the bee's knees.
