Okay...I am being harassed by my parents because my birthday is soon, and I need to submit a few things I want....
SOooOO that's where you guys come in! I need you to recommend a Cd, or a few. Just name the artist and CD, the music genre, and why it's such a kick ass CD....
Please! Help a poor 15 year old that wants some new music!

I agree with Glenny the Doves - Last Broadcast is an outstanding cd and i am still recovering from the fact that i saw them yesterday and met em. They were really nice guys, very jet lagged and they were kind enough to sign my copies of Last Broadcast and Lost Souls. Also Gomez's - In Our Gun is excellent, very cool cd. If you like punk and Aus Rock, Bodyjar's new one is lots of fun. Not very complicated or groundbreaking stuff, but very catchy songs with lots of rocking out, also features Adalita from magic dirt on one of the songs.

i got the whitlams one today....wouldn't normally, but i saw them live about 3 or 4 months ago and they played a song called kate kelly - it was simply amazing.....haven't listened to it off the cd yet, and am fearfull, nay expecting, that it won't serve my memory correctly, but i know in my heart that there is probably another morbid, maudilin song to pique my fancy on there somewhere.
i would also recommend original pirate material by the streets - funny in parts, orchestral in other parts, and more spoken wordish than rappish. ("we call 'em birds not bitches, ay geeza")

Oooh, if you can do some internet shopping, I recommend anything by Mr Brown, a Melbourne band...similar-ish to You Am I, but with a bit less swagger...really cool...and a sensational live act too www.mrbrown.com.au
