my dad is a big Leonard Cohen fan, so thats sort of rubbed off on me. He also liked the Sigor Ros album, except there is a little bit in it somewhere that woke him up cause it sort of sounds like a mobile phone.
me likes that paul kelly and kasey chambers song(s....they did 2 together - shy before you lord and i still pray for baby jebus) cause they played it heaps on 2BL.

yeah, my mum heard me listening to sfk and was wasnt very impressed. she "cant understand how i can like that stuff". mind you, that was echolalia, and i put on beautiful sharks one day and she said it was "really nice". mothers.  |

My mum always says that she can't tell the difference between the SFK songs, that they need to have a bit more variety. All I could say was 'Bah!' and to prove my point, put on Beautiful Sharks (the song) and followed it with Prick. She didn't comment any more after that.  Although she's not a SFK fan she does have some taste in music.. She likes george, Fourth Floor and Powderfinger, so that's something. |
