I guess now is the time to get the "hi-i'm-a-newbie" crapp outta the way... Name: Ria Age: 17 Area: Adelaide (not one word about this place being a hole!) Meaning behind your nickname: Erm.. theres the Ria, which is me, and the Princess.. a nickname a close friend had for me a thousand years ago. Unfortunatly in my stupidity i forgot to notice that the name Princess generally goes hand in hand with "stupid teenybopper" but the name stuck and i've had to put up w/it for 3 years now.. Interests: music, tv junkie, history, computers (yes i'm a geek, i admin at 2 messageboards ) Instrument/s played: recorder (woohoo i can play when the saints go marching in!) lol and piano... i've only been playing since the beginning of this year so my extent of skill ranges from twinkle twinkle little star, to mary had a little lamb. impressive much?? Top 5 Non SFK Albums: Grandpaw Would - Ben Lee Breathing Tornados - Ben Lee Sha Sha - Ben Kweller Tourist - St Germain Innocent Eyes - Delta Goodrem (kill me now... i got the dvd for chrissie and i'm kinda a little bit hooked *embarrassed* Top 5 Non SFK Songs: Chills - Ben Lee Baby You're a Strange Girl - Gersey Fall For You - The Whitlams La Goutte D'or - St Germain Silence - Sarah Mclaughlan Top 5 Films: The Dish Notting Hill Girl, Interrupted Finding Nemo Bruce Almighty Fave SFK Album: Official Fiction Fave SFK Single: Monsters.. the first sfk song i ever recall hearing Fave SFK Track: Reverse Soundtrack or Tunnel

don't worry i think Delta's very bearable I like Ben Lee's Breathing Tornadoes as well.... he sounds like a prick but his music sort of compensates for that...

If I have given too much information just take in what's necessary.
Name: Darrell Bradley Milton (always wanted Bradley as the Christian name though, and in latter years wanted to drop the Milton surname and use Bradley instead).
Age: 29 (but only until my next birthday).
Area: Kings Langley, Sydney, NSW, Australia (at first I thought you wanted to know my length X my width).
Meaning behind your nickname: I can still remember where I was when I first heard Captain. I loved the intro and couldn't wait to hear it again. I voted for it in the Hottest 100 but the full impact of SFK didn't hit me until years later (months after B Sharks was released). I auditioned for a band as a bass player a few years back and started playing the main Captain riff. The rest of the band joined in and we played the song all the way through and I got the gig. 2 weeks later I left citing difference in musical direction. In the band I joined next, the singer hated SFK and 3 years later he left citing musical differences.
Interests: All sports especially whatever Australia is playing. I am often filled with national pride based on our nations sporting acheivements (even if we don't perform well in that sport internationally), as well as our nations bands. Lame excuse but, growing up in Sydney's west in the 80s saw me fall into the US Rock band scene. Once I left school and got a job, I started exploring different music and listening to JJJ. I still had the US band scene as well because "grunge" is what my band was playing before grunge became big. We were not trying to sound grungy but our 2nd hand equipment and learning to play by ear mentallity created a different sound to what we were listening to. But when I heard bands like the Clouds, Rat Cat, You Am I and later Pollyanna, Screamfeader, Horsehead, and SFK my musical taste shifted to local bands. Except for Tool and Pearl Jam I only ever buy Aussie bands now. Not a "Buy Australian" policy, but buy decent music policy. My other interests are rattling on about shit and watching the Simpsons, Buffy and Angel.
Instrument/s played: Guitar, Bass (which I have play in bands coz there are too many guitarist in this world), Keyboards (a little), Recorder, and Spoons
Top 5 Non SFK Albums: 1. Lateralus - Tool 2. Diorama - Silverchair 3. Vs. - Pearl Jam 4. Double Allergic - Powderfinger 5. Les Miserables - 10th Anniversary Live Album
Top 5 Non SFK Songs: 1. Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys (all time favourite song ever) 2. Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots (changed my approach to song writing) 3. Passenger - Powderfinger (I voted for this to win the APRA awrd and it did 'yay') 4. AENIMA - Tool (because it's funny cause it's true) 5. Across The Night - Silverchair (it's that VDP thing) Top 5 Films: I hate listing my top 5 films. I like (in no particular order; Star Wars - all of them because you have to Dead Poets Society Clerks - and all his other work The Disney movies because the adult jokes are lost on the kids, but they still love the movies Pre Acamdemy Award winning Tom Hanks movies - he reminded me of many of my friends will growing up.
Fave SFK Album: I Find myself returning to Beautiful Sharks all the time.
Fave SFK Single: Captain (refer above for my reason)
Fave SFK Track: Photograph (today atleast)
Fave SFK B-side: I don't buy singles. Sure I am missing out on hearing there other stuff that didn't make the albums or live cuts, but I'll wait for he B-sides and rarities album and the live album.
