Well you need an MD player with a mic-in line and a mic for a start. You can probably do it with something else, but the quality isn't likely to be as good and it isn't as easy to reproduce. Once you've got the MD player and mic you get a mini-disc and well, record it. It's pretty easy from there, and you can figure it out yourself easy enough by screwing around with it beforehand and reading the manual (manuals are for the weak!!). Make sure the volume is really low, I've made the mistake more than once of having it too loud and then the quality is utter crap, as the music you're recording is loud enough to start with. And when I say low, I mean the lowest you can get, like 1. Trust me, it's easier to make it louder afterwards than it is to remove the distortion. Try to record it at the highest quality possible too, even if you have to use 2 mini-discs it's worth it. It helps if you have a program like Goldwave (I think?) on your computer too, so you can screw with it all later, break up tracks so on (presuming you want it on the computer so you can burn it and so on). Hope that helps some.
