seems a little selfish making a thread for this but we can always delete it. i just need to convert my movie to divx so that i can put it on the ftp. at the moment it says the file type is just "movie clip" but i'm pretty sure it'll have something to do with windows media player when i put it up the right way in windows movie maker. any help would be appreciated

sorry could always try google.com
the way ive understoof it, DivX isnt actually a file format, its an encoding method/process/language. So its file extension is .avi
If you can open the video in wmp, its most likely NOT .mov (quicktime) Try googling for convert MPEG to DivX, try a program and see how it goes

hey thanks for the advice guys. at the moment, i've got the finished movie in "Windows Media Player Audio/Video" format, which i assume is MPEG. i made the filesize just under 5mb, and the quality isn't too bad! although i forgot to say that the audio is pretty horrible. you can tell where he is in the song, but it just "cuts" alot because it was too much sound for the camera. i've decided to upload it in MPEG format to the FTP, but if there's a problem with me doing that, just delete it and i'll try to do it in the other format . if it all works, you should be able to find it in the Videos - Live section, called Whatever_You_Want_Acoustic_01.07.06. cheers.
