Well There's a new addition to the Tommorrow Series. Can't remeber the name, but i unpacked it at work last week and thought "hmm, must read this"
We also have two copies of the Geisha book people are talking about. It looks interesting, anyway they've been sitting on the shelves for at least a year.

I'm currently reading Naomi Kleins 'No Logo' and really enjoying it. It's a real eye opener, and very interesting.

mmm no logo and memoirs. i really really liked memoirs and no logo was pretty good too, i wasn't really in the mood for it at the time though.
i'm just about to finish off 1984 by George Orwell. found it in the garage, it's scary how real the book feels.

I wanted to read that earlier this year [1984] for a school assessment but i was made to read lord of the flies instead, which was rather ho hum. my friends said 1984 was bad so i'm still unsettled. borders in the city had a copy of animal farm/ 1984 for $50 and i wanted to buy it.

My favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo. I fell in love with the main character instantly. Don't watch the movie though. It isn't anything like the book and was more than a disappointment.

Streetlights wants to know what the other version of Memoirs of Geisha is called!
And my favourite book (series) would have to be the Tomorrow series although I'm only like 1/4 of the way through the second book... It seems like a promising series... I cried for like the last ten minutes of the first book (at like 3 o'clock in the morning) so the rest better be as good as that...
mmm... Byes!

go The Hobbit! hehe Tolkien is the best..... I love how the relatively kiddie safe fantasy adventures in The Hobbit becomes much more sinister when reading Lord of the Rings. My favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo. I fell in love with the main character instantly. Don't watch the movie though. It isn't anything like the book and was more than a disappointment. Don't see the American movie I agree, but the original French movie with Gerard Depardieu in the title role is excellent.

Ha, after you finish that read 'Dude, Where's My Country?'
Hi. God Here. I hope you don't mind if I interrupt Mike's Book with a few words from Me, your almighty creator, but hey, I'm God - who's going to stop me?
I've also found out 3 of my 4 flatmates are each getting me books for xmas, so I hope at least one of them got 'Downsize This!' (his other, other book). Here's hoping.

One of my favourite books of all time also freaked the living shit out of me. "American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis included some od the most vivid and graphic depictions of violence I've ever read (against prostitutes, the homeless, colleagues, ex-girlfriends), but taken in context as a metaphor for 1980's greed, is is somewhat more palatable.
