Hey true blue, Do you remember how it used to be? When we used to be a free, autonomous nation Girt by sea.
Now we are just another star On a spangled banner. Strategic alliance, And mates standing together.
Uncle Sam nods and winks; hey buddy! Do you remember the Coral Sea and WWII, Free trade agreements, And not to mention, New York, North Korea and Bali too?
But Sam do you remember, There used to be this joint, It was called the UN, I think. (Destroyed now). Kept the unruly mob together, And the rogues in check, For over fifty years, Under a banner of blue, no sweat.
But the people of the great land of OZ were uneasy, We all smelled a rat, and found Sam’s haste indecent. Yep, we couldn’t believe it, When the US decided to act all alone, ‘cept for a ‘friend’ or two, Sam’s cobber Johnny said we must all fight ‘cos the rumours are true!
The faithful were dismayed, aghast and ashamed Tis not the Australian way! Fancy losing your democracy, moral authority, And the power of your humble vote, To some snake oil sales-bloke! (Masquerading as the peoples’ servant).
Stone the crows! Shit! Sorry Gallipoli digger, son. Who could ever believe this could be allowed to happen, To you or your mum?
