It's really good to know what peoples opinions of your work are. Ahh interesting, but do their opinions ultimately matter? Does one subjectively create art for art's sake and is there no right or wrong answers when dealing with art or is there a criteria which we can objectively judge art? As a quote from a tv show I like says, "A stroke from the brush does not guarantee art from the bristles." Which has some truth to it I think. I could draw some random pretentious crap but can I still call it "art" or is just "shite"? Ahem, sorry... that was just all going through my mind then, I had to write it down. Your photos are great. Keep it up.

Well, I kind of meant it was good to have some positive feedback for once. Most of the people who have seen my work (paintings and photos) tell me they're a waste of time...hmm. Oh well, we are all entitled to our own opinion. I just try and ignore those who tell me my work is junk, they just don't see it in the same way as others do. I enjoy it, it's a way for me to express myself. I've always looked at the world in a very different way and now I'm just trying to capture it in a different way. For example, the 'Colour Pinwheel' photo...it's the wheel off an old bike of my brothers, he was just about ready to throw it out....but I saw it and it just stopped me in my tracks. Some could say that it's just a wheel, plain, boring. But I tried to use light and shadow and take it from a different angle, to add a new leash of life onto an otherwise, ordinary object. Errr anyway, thanks again guys

I can't view them because I'm at work and we have bans placed on all geocities websites, but the DNS failure screen I am getting is beautiful - it's mixture of neutral tones and use of light and shade is truly stunning.

I'll add to the chorus - great photos! I particulary like the electric crossroads... do you do portraiture (sp)?
