I agree Mark. The first movie/book of series is usually the least favourite as it is more of a platform for introducing everything - but still good none the less!
Apparently the battle in Helms Deep lasts a whole Hour!
And in my opinion, each book induvidually would cater for nearly a two-three hour movie, to capture everything!

Deane, it's out in Canada but I haven't seen it yet. I might see it in the next week or so. Is it out there yet?

I think it came out on Boxing day. I'm going to see The Two Towers on Sunday so maybe I'll try catch a session then.

Best of 2002
If I disregard everything I know I should loathe
Spiderman - as a life long comic books fan, I wet my pants with excitement, and I wasn't let down by the translation. Spidey looked and behaved like he would if he existed in the real world.
If I take into account things like dialogue and non CGI performances
About a Boy - although I am biased by being a fan of the novel by Nick Hornby, I thought this was a novel conversion that rivalled High Fidelity in it's realisation. It was a joy to watch Hugh Grant ditch the foppish boy scount routine, and Toni Collette was wonderful as a damaging, self absorbed hippie (aren't they all?)
Worst of 2002
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - I'm a Kevin Smith fan, so this hurts me a lot........but Kevin - GET YOUR HAND OFF IT, FOR FUCKS SAKE. If Jersey Girl stinks, I'm not going to watch another of his films.

Worst of 2002 Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - I'm a Kevin Smith fan, so this hurts me a lot........but Kevin - GET YOUR HAND OFF IT, FOR FUCKS SAKE. If Jersey Girl stinks, I'm not going to watch another of his films. Yeah, it did lack the simple charm of Clerks. Those little conversations (for example) about union workers on the death star weren't so prominent in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Instead we got lots of SUPERKEWL special effects and dick jokes. Bah. Still, it wasn't completely awful, some of it was funny, like Ben Affleck and Matt Damon sending themselves up, or Jay saying, "dude, what the fuck is the internet?". But yeah, overall a disappointment.

I'm going to extend an olive branch to the film. I love Eliza Dushku. Anything with Eliza Dushku in it can't be all bad. Get me Eliza Dushku.........

can someone please explain to me how the hell:
1 Natalie Portman 2 Jessica Alba 3 Nora Tschirner 4 Nicole Kidman 5 Britney Spears 6 Anna Kournikova
are sexier than Eliza? Who the fuck is Nora Tschirner? She sounds like a swedish transvestite.
Kournikova is highly overrated, and any of the males in these forums that like here are equally obvious and shallow.
Jessica Alba however is welcome to give me a lube job.

Yeah i really don't see what the fuss is over Anna Kournikova, yes she has blonde hair and she is female, but as i have seen with my friend having long blonde hair and being underweight gets you a long way with males
