I saw a beautiful, tall man who showed a remarkable lack of foresight, and he was talking in tongues about submarines. I knew he was on about the id. The question is, should I follow him across the Tibetan plateau - through glaciers; across fire and ice? Dare I take the journey through the esoteric labyrinth searching for the essence of Dempsey and by corollary - THE TRUTH?? Will I survive with my dignity and sanity in-tact?

No angel's gonna appear to offer you advice. Why ask me? Or us?

Because i know there are many others also on this journey and they may have some additional insights (aside from that offered by the angels) that they might like to share with the great unwashed....

I know that there are people out there just scratching their heads! I decided to start an obscure thread for two reasons: a) pd can be very obtuse in the way he writes (well I think so anyways) and b) i was checking the www for haiku sites (as you do ) and found that of all the bands in the world, screemfeeder, have a dedicated haiku site! How bizarre is that! Anyway, I thought a cool way to celebrate pd's cerebalness (sp?) was to write a little haiku of my own (there is a mathematical puzzle built into this haiku based on the manipulation of prime numbers and the rules of writing a haiku. Just wondering which of you bright sharks out there will work it out!). Here goes: is Paul Dempsey in three dimensions six syllables? or six syllables in three dimensions is Paul Dempsey?

i've always felt haikus a very limiting form of expression - i much prefer interpretive dance....

i don't know if that's pd's nickname (seems strangely appropriate though ). It's a sarcastic play on the fact that he was voted on the rs poll as australia's most shaggable/huggable bloke. Frankly he doesn't strike me as a particulary huggy sort of guy - especially with strangers... (just this wench taking the piss out of the big fella really)

it should be. i like it. next time you go to a sfk-gig, me thinks you should all call out huggy bear at every available instance. he will soon catch on that that is his new nickname.

i dunno dirt girl, with a nickname like huggybear his street cred's gonna go way down - no chillin' with no homeboys, rappers and or rhymers for paul...on the other hand "huggy bear" would make a wicked name for a gangsta pimp daddy....
