I've liked this writer for a couple of years - I really enjoyed the good natured and thoughtful humour within High Fidelity and About a Boy, and could relate to the male narrative in both of the books. I recently read his last effort, "how to be good", and came to the decision that the world is a horrible place.
Can anyway suggest a suicide method? I want it to be as messy as possible.

throw yourself in front of a train at peak hour on friday afternoon in a tunnel...this will piss the maximum number of people off and it is also an artistic way to go...

thanks for being so imaginative. Another idea I had contemplated was death by rogering Jeannie Little.

Stan is gone - thank the stars. I'd have never thought another man would make Doug Mulray look like a paragon of virtue by comparison.

I know he looks like a gelitanous glob of slime, but he seems to have a few likeable character traits - he is generally empathetic to disadvantaged people and he listens to others before adding his own arguments.
I miss being unemployed and being able to watch this drivel now.

I'm glad im not the only one who watches that show As much as i hated stans guts, you have to admit the fighting between him and Jan was pretty bloody hilarious. I'd love it when he would get her heaps worked up and she'd just start calling everyone names [like the day she was calling Jo Cassamenta or whatever it is a braindead bimbo etc etc etc] Hee hee those were the days. I concur!!!

Jo Casemento IS a bimbo - she edits the gossip pages in the Daily Telegraph - a print institution which doesn't exactly scream "well rounded and thoughtful" to me...........
Monday morning whinges - yay
