A poem should threaten prettily, like the emblem of a beautiful enemy.
Skin is free- you pay for your scars.
Even a good cause prefers its victims to die badly.
Ron Riel
Using order to deal with the disorderly, using calm to deal with the clamorous, is mastering the heart.
Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate. - Sun Tzu

um, 'the art of war' by Sun Tzu is a rather formidable book - what do you think about how it's been appropriated into training manuals for today's corporate leaders ? "The art of war for executives" etc ? is this wrong ? or just applying it to a modern-day situation ? :hitting:

Are u studying a MBA, birdfeeder? Given that Sun Tzu wrote the book as a soldiers 'how to' guide for second dynasty china, where the warlords (substitute CEO's ) were king; one could ponder it's prevalence in the scholarly art of management as practiced by the west today as somewhat dubious...and possibly dangerous... But as a leader in the real world today...some of the ideas expressed in the 'art of war' actually have value!! Sun Tzu and his ilk were no fools!! Experiment with your motely crew (if you have them) for yourself! ;D Still corporatism does sux...
