What are everyone else's thoughts on this song? My interpretation is on the Soundczech site for this one, but my main thought pattern for it is that it's about resolution to problems, getting past troubles and making changes.
Maybe it's like the end of the movies when everything is fixed and over, so you can then roll the credits.

I reckon the person in the song has severe relationship problems.
"Gathering everyone around, so you can drive them away"
I reckon the person just doesn't like their friends

"The only bona-fide guitar solo we've ever had. The video to this is probably my favourite." P. Dempsey @ www.somethingforkate.com

I'm not too sure about the meaning of this song. It confuses me a bit. I think it's something about getting over your problems and moving onto better things - putting aside your past demons. On the album it follows on from after Strategy, probably the saddest song on the CD, so I think Roll Credit is trying to move things in a new slightly hopeful direction.

*dusts off thread* To me this song has always felt like such a "fresh start". My sister and I used to have Elsewhere For Eight Minutes copied onto a cassette tape ( )before we actually bought it, and the first side of the tape only fit the first 9 songs. So Strategy was always like the "end" of the album. And then there were 3 other songs which felt like a completely different album. Interestingly, when Paul played at JB Hi-Fi in Melbourne for the release of Desert Lights, he played Roll Credit first. Not much of an interpretation, just my experience with the song.
