Hi and welcome to the board :flowerhead: We talked about this in length in a topic called "I Got I.D" in the Non-sfk discussion section. Really, i wouldnt worry about it. They have no way to prove you are 18. Underage ppl dont have ID [which is what we were discussing] so i dont think fake ID is going to help you. Fair enough because you missed the over 18s show maybe you should try and get in, otherwise i think all over 18s shouldnt be going - will make sure all the youngens can get tix etc.

The idea of needing id for an underage show is just so absurd! Tell 'em you're 17 and 3/4 or give a long, loud rant to the door bitch about age discrimination... either way they'll let you in! ;D

Aawwww shucks u guys ;D, thanx so much.... you've been a great help.... I know having to have id for an underage gig is absurd so i'm hopin they won't be too strict...if i had've gone to the over 18's gig i wouldn't bother tryin to get in, cos that wouldn't be fair to the genuine under agers now would it...but i am a really BIG fan and couldn't make it to the other ones, so it's my only chance...*tear* so i'm gonna do everything in my power to get in... so if you see a girl with pigtails in a britney spears tee, yelling a long sob story at the security gaurds you'll know it's me

what happens if the show doesn't sell out? then it seems like under age gigs are cost effective and s4k stop doing them.... yet if we pad the audience out with over agers, all of sudden, u18 gigs are profitable and the kiddlies see more of that dempsey goodness (now with 18% more fibre).

The only gigs I would be able to get to are the Sydney and Newcastle ones. But I'm under 18. I have no way of getting to Melbourne for the under age gig. I wish they played more underage gigs. I was going to go to Paul Dempsey at [V] HQ but coulded miss out on school as I had exams.

I guess with this whole thing about ageism v concerts: the real question to ask is do they want your money or don't they? This is business after all...

clearly they do. they had printed all over their tickets that they would ask for ID, and definately no under 18s allowed, and i got in 3 times. easily. admittedly, once i used fake ID, but the other 2 i walked straight in. not to mention i ordered 2 tickets for each melbourne show, but later cancelled one for each night, which went through, but i am still yet to be refunded for them. i cancelled them weeks ago too. weenies.

I don't think fake ID would quite cut it for me. I'm only 13.

Are there any other youngens in here who have to suffer until they can pass as an 18 year old?
But I don't think sneaking in would be right. I know from experience, when heaps of people try to get into under age gigs the youngens miss out.
And considering SFK rarely have underage gigs you should really leave them for the youngens.

Ahhh the virtues of being an 'old' person... Where there is a will there is always a way around a problem, you just have to think sideways. ;D Have you considered using copious amounts of war paint? or do you suffer the problem of being vertically challenged, in which case you are stuffed; it doesn't matter how old you are, you will still get asked for id regardless... ;D and as for money issues...have u spoken to fair trading about this one, sparky?

ah, we all had to suffer when we were 14. not much you can do about it unfortunately. wait at least 2 more years, and then give the fake ID a try. bad luck. seriously, fair trading? eep. i might try at least ringing them back and see what is going on first off, and then if nothing happens take it further.

wow only 3 more years till i can maybe see huggy in person and only 5 more years until i can legally see him in person! I should start counting down the days. from, a girl annoyed at her age P.S. I will really have to be patient and try my hardest to get to an underage gig.
