encore 1 included pinstripe and other songs encore 2 was moving right along and truly (and some others??) encore 3 was captain and the last minute (nice one to end on cause of the goodbye lyricy bit ("and then say goodbye")..
hrm, my memory is so bad...did anyone else go to the 25th gig? i started remembering the songs at the beginning but that didn't last long, the logical thing would be to taken a pen and paper..hehe, but of course then you're not fully concentrating on the music, ah well...

Wow i would've love to hear that live. How many new songs has Paul been playing for everyone on tour? We only had one new song at our show, and Moving Right Along.

i went to both sydney shows - pretty much the same songs each night - paintbrushes was awesome, monsters, 3d, all the things..., moving right along, hallways.
sat nite - born yesterday (way cool), captain, last minute
sun nite - east (woohoo!), chapel st etc ("this song is about a place near my house, where everything is on display......and not just in the shop windows")
sunday was a lot more chilled - less shouting, the crowd was very quiet.
I followed GlennyBoy's (?) lead and requested "genie in a bottle" both night. Saturday Paul gave a wry smile and said "rub a dub", Sunday i got a few laughs and Paul explained why he doesn't play it - he can't remember the amaziing lyrics of Christina Agaqueera.
On Sunday he dedicated Whatever you want to Phillip Ruddock - "they should tie him up on a raft".
saturday night was amazing. Dempsey having completed "26 laps of our Sun in record time", we all sang happy birthday...his voice was sublime. (on Sunday night he said "i'm sick of people making fun of my voice", and was drinking cough medicine most of the night. Though the cough medicine was residing in a scotch bottle. The amazing finale on Sunday was Dempsey raising his glass to the crowd, taking two steps, turning back, picking up the scotch bottle, and raising both bottle and glass to the crowd...)
well, pretty damn amazing all round. Just under 2 hours on Sat night and 90 mins on Sun.... 'ken brilliant.

sorry glenny and bj for mixing up the names...
just before he played east, pd was really quiet, sort of in two minds, a few people were yelling out suggestions, then he just said "i can't believe i'm going to play this" and he started east.
on sunday i also wished dempsey a happy unbirthday. "thanks" was his response.
