There is a couple of SFK songs that I doubt will ever do it for me - I hate the BS version of Back to You, but I really dig the b-side version.

when he did that cover, i was muchly amused (as was everyone else it appeared) - but then he stopped with a laugh, and i think everyone there was rather embarassed considering *everyone* was singing along and knew the words.
he did however, fail to do it at the second melbourne gig, so many missed out that night (probably a good thing). ;D

I thought it was all in good humour. And I think the realise is that if anyone else had written and performed the song but Tom Petty (looked it up), it would have a lot more credence associated with it.
