I've brought this up somewhere before... This can be an area to maybe discuss and interpret strange dreams.
A couple of nights ago I had a funny one. Every building was identical to our house in terms of rooms, structure etc. Anyway so I went and saw SFK at a pub in Sydney (I live in Melb) and the band room was our lounge. Anyway got to chatting to Paul and anyway I went to that same pub the next night to chill out, have a couple of drinks and the band were there. Paul actually called out my name and got me to come over and we were chatting about all kinds of stuff. Anyway the next day I had to go back to Melbourne and just before I left there was a train behind the pub (and since the pub is like the house, out the back was the backyard)... Anyway we heard the train coming along and realised there was a gap in the tracks. We managed to divert the train and Paul decided it would be a fun project to rebuild the gap in the train line so he went to what looked like our shed and managed to find all the parts to construct a railway. He was doing that and I helped for a while but eventually I had to go and so I went back to Melbourne. Then I woke up.
Interesting...
There was another one ages ago where Paul was sick and so the rest of the band took turns singing songs since Paul was in bed. Pip, Steph and Clint (?) managed to sing songs like Anarchitect and Three Dimensions.
Or one where I was the singer in a SFK tribute band.
Or one which wasn't a SFK dream. I was the new drummer for 28 days and was running late for my first gig.
Hmmm... I'm a strange person. 8)

When I was little I used ot have 2 dreas that were exactly the same each night:
1. A lion was walking around after me trying to eat me. I was running away from it and telling people but they wouldn't believe me. I distinctly remember my dad was washing or fixing the yellow chrysler valiant we usedto have and I was trying to get him to save me but he wouldn't listen to me. It was a scary dream, I don't remember if it actually got me.
2. This dream is very abstract, I don't know the places in it and I don't know what it's about and you probably wont even understand what I see from it but I used to have it ALL the time. I was in a big group of people and there seems to be some sort of war going on. There's 2 huge masses of something (i don't know what its like clay or something) and I'm standing right on the borderline of my "side's" territory. There's another little kid on the other side so I pull a little piece of this clay off our pile and give it to him and he puts it on his sides pile. Then the ground rumbles like and earthquake and I get scared. Then my mother is inside this like little car that's attached to a very long vertical pole and the car shoots up it at an incredible speed and I think it explodes when it reaches the top.
Weird and strange, but I used to have those dreams all the itme when I was little, and the second one I had again when I was about 13 or 14 when I was very sick. I've never seen a movie or anything like it in my life.

some say dreams can be based on things that have happened to you, stuff like that.
i was writing a story a while ago ( i stopped BECAUSE of the dreams! ) about a war. when i started writing i kept having bad dreams about people dying and war. now that ive stopped writing the story...the dreams have stopped....wierd!

Well there are 3 dreams that I can remember that I used to have every night for ages. And yes-one involves SFK
I'd be standing on the side of a stage, and it's pretty dark, with the curtain closed, and I could see people on there, walking around and stuff, but the only person I can actually see properly is Paul. (But I just kinda know in the dream that the others are in the band as well) Anyway, all the people are looking busy, but no one is talking, they're just sort of walking round, looking at stuff, adjusting things, little stuff like that. Then paul comes over to where I'm standing, picks up a steel bucket full of ice that is at my feet, then says something like "It helps if you do this before you go", puts a handful of ice on his head, and it starts melting quickly, and dribbling down his face. The rest of the dream looks realistic, but when the ice is melting, it looks really animated, like it is in a cartoon.
Another dream I had like every single night for about a year when I was little, was that I am walking around my house, and there is all jungle animal around. It's like a tour, with a voiceover saying all this stuff about the animals, and where I'm going. There are all snakes and vines hanging down from everywhere, and elephants and giraffes and stuff around, and I'm really calm. Then-when i would reach the gate at the side of my house, the voiceover would stop. Then a lion would come out and stand in front of me, adn I'd be trapped, cos the gate behind me is locked, and on one side of me is the side of my house, and on the other side is a fence, and in front of me is a lion. And I'd start fully screaming, and trying to get away, and the lion would run down and try and get me, but it never seemed to. I'd just be running around in panic for awhile, then the dream would always end.
I had that dream for ages and ages and i was so scared to go down that side of my house by myself for about a year, cos I believed thelion lived in my garden adn was waiting to come and kill me. (I was only about 4 or 5 at the time, though!)
Then-the other dream is REALLY weird, and kinda hard to explain, but basically I'm going up some really creepy looking stairs, and theres all vocanoes and grey looking mountains around, and it looks a bit medieval. There are all these portraits on the sides of the stairs, and lots of people walking up and down moaning, carrying dead bodies wrapped in cloths, and the dead people are either grey or like a pastel green colour. When the get to the top they dump the bodies off at the top of the stairs, then go back down. When I get to the top-theres nothing there, so I try and go back down, but for some reason I can't get back down, even though nothing looks wrong with the stairs, so I have to sit down and sort of slide down on my bum, with all these people stepping on my hands as I try and get down.
I never seem worried in the dream, but I always feel heaps freaked when I wake up.

It is funny so many people have had weird war dreams. When i used to live in melbourne I used to live very close to an army barracks which had a satelite dish which was part of americas spy system and therefore (this was during the regan years) would be regularly visited by anti-nuclear demostators (so I regulary had lots of scared little wierd guys going up and down the street dressed as the grim reaper and such). Anyways, in my dream I dreamt my family was under attack by thousands of tiny firecracker sized nuclear bombs and I remember dad trying to hide my entire family (all six of us) under our old dining table which had been the put into the cellar (apparently this was the safest place to be!!). I had this dream for years as a kid and it scared the merde out of me everytime. Still haven't had any sfk dreams (well tell a lie, had some about paul but they are none of your damn business!!  ). |

i had a dream last night - i was talking to Steve Waugh and i asked him how he felt after his first bowling spell in ages. He said "mate, my back is fuckin' killing me."

I once had a very strange dream that Mr. Dempsey and I were sitting on my parents bed playing guitar. The strange thing was, besides the obvious, is that I was showing him some songs that'd I had written, and Paul was quite impressed. These songs were quite good, I was happy, but they were all written by something for kate. Oh well.

YES! I'm not the only nutter here! I've had sooooooooooo many weird & wonderful sfk dreams, and i even discussed some of them to the novice egroup, and all i received were complaints about sharing such ridiculous stuff.
so anyway, i had a weird one last night...it was sorta a secret sfk gig, and it was outdoors. They started playing back to you, piano version, and all i can remember is pip, clint and paul had the stupidest grins on their faces....really really stupid smirks!
anyway, after this song finished, they had a break and the crowd started going home cos they thought that the gig was over...but really, the 'back to u' song was just a warm up. So hundreds of ppl started going home, and the band were saying "where are you all going, come back!" I was like 'no, don't call them back' cos i thought it would be better with fewer ppl.
anyway, they started their proper set, and everyone came back to see them. The venue was outdoors, as i mentioned b4, but there was something really strage about it....the set up for the mosh pit was similar to animal sheds! strage!
the other day, i had a dream that i stayed back after a gig and paul came up to me, smiling, and thanked me for going along.
last week, i had a dream that paul was thanking all of his female fans, and gave out these beautiful white flowers and teddy bears.
i've had heaps of others, as well, but i can't really remember them right now.

i just had a dream a couple of nights ago that i could see my cousin off in the distance while i was walking somewhere, and i ran upto her and when i finally caught up to her, she turned around and looked exactly like steph. I looked at her and said 'i really like your hair' and woke up. that was quite strange....

guess what guess what? i had another sfk dream last night / this morning! ;D i had a dream that i sent an email to clint and paul asking them out to dinner with me, and clint sent me an sms back saying: "no, not possible". Then he sent me an email showing a picture with him and his girlfriend (who happened to be this chick that was a year above me in high school) and apparently she was a very jealous person and didn't want clint to come out with me. Anyway, i told clint that i knew her and everything was cool, so he came out. As we were walking down this road, we saw Paul, and Clint goes to me "hey go ask Paul if he wants something to eat". So clint took off and i went up to paul and he was the friendliest ever! I told him that i was gonna shout him dinner (i was thinking sushi) and he wanted maccas! Anyway, that's not the interesting bit.....we sat around talking for ages, and there was this chick next to paul who was wearing a fugazi shirt and trying to get his attention but he was just really focussed on me (lucky me lucky me!) The next thing i know, we shake hands and he's just smiling like crazy, and as he's shaking my hand, he rubs his middle finger down my palm (as if indicating that he wanted to sex me up) and i just laughed and reciprocated the gesture. Then i noticed that he had a black leather wrist-band on and i was mucking around and pretending to break it (again, an indication of sexual tendencies!)..... anyway, next thing i know, the damn alarm goes off, my boyfriend is kicking me to try and wake me up, and i'm like: "damn, i was just about to cheat on you"!! |

I don't have any memorable dreams. Not often enough. Do I lack something? (Don't say sleep - and on that note, my cousin hadn't slept for 2 days yesterday. I think he was gonna sleep today but.) Maybe I lack vitamins or something? Anyone know what helps give you dreams?

You constantly have dreams, but you usually only remember them if you wake up in the middle of it. Even if you only half wake up in the middle of the night and go straight back to sleep, you're still more likely to remember it. Thats what i read somewhere anyway. Also, does anyone ever wake up and feel normal, then you see someone, and although nothing has really gone on between the two of you, you get a really strange feeling about the person, because you've had some weird dream about them the night before. But then you can't remember the dream, and it drives you insane!  |

ive still only had the one dream with sfk in it. and that was where there were heaps of people sitting around a table eating breakfast together after a sfk-gig. i was sitting next to paul (and deane, i think) and was asking him heaps of questions and he was just getting pissed off at me. and i was all "autograph this for me because im from darwin!" as if i was their only fan from the NT or something. and he kept talking to the other guy (deane?) i was with. and i was jealous, so i got more annoying. yeah.
