yeah, yeah, i know. its true though - i mean, look what she did for my sisters. she has this thing with keeping everything even between us so none of us will get jealous (though sending my middle sister to boarding school at a cost of over $20000 a year, then me asking if i can go and them saying they couldnt afford it because they had sent my sister already is hardly fair ). but anyway..

no. its really quite obvious when things happen like i get back my year 12 results and i get an 86, and dads first reaction is to say "anne-marie got a 90 didnt she." sigh.

why would you WANT to go to boarding school? i thought it was meant to be used as punishment? i.e. " do that again and its boarding school for you! "

at the time i lived in alice springs (reason #1), all my friends were er, well, slutty, and i didnt want to end up like that (reason #2), you are made to study, and i only study once im made to and at the time i wanted to do extremely well at school (reason #3), and if my sister can go, why cant i damnit? (reason #4) and well, i was 14, forgive me. (reason #5). something like that anyway.

Hmm sorry to butt into the conversation here.. I can't believe you got 86, that is SO good. I'm in the same boat as you though, my older brother got something like 95 / 96 (how the hell does anyone do that?) in his results.. I'm in the middle of year 12, am failing human biol and will probably end up in the mid 60's if I'm lucky. I hate having expectations to live up to.

thanks so much. i appreciate it. you will be right though, try not to stress about it (i know that is hard, but television is good for the soul every now and then). i dont mean to sound full of myself, i just feel stupid anytime someone says how good 86 is though. i guess it is good, but i know i couldve done so much better. i dont mind getting what i got, because its not like i wanted to be a lawyer, but honestly, im one of those people that did all my assignments the night before/the morning they were due, and when end of year exams came around my revision started the night before. im just an idiot though, so that is really my own fault.

80's must be for the lazy ppl I did exactly what you did all through school.... last minute assignments, staying up till 1 am to finish an assignment cause id started it @ 10.30 [after the movie on telly ;D ] the night before it was due As for studying, well ive never studied a day in my life.... ...well thats not true... i would try... but i would get bored so i would put music on while i was studying, then decide to pick up my guitar and.. you get the picture And through all this, i somehow managed to pull 87.5.... which of course meant nothing to my parents because my brother is too smart for his own good and got 92... Its probably not so much a favouratism thing, than just the fact that they heard the better mark before the not so good one. What im trying to say is its like when one friend tells you she got 95 and you think DAMN thats good. You hear your other friend got 89 you still think its good, but cause you know your other friend got 95 you dont react as much as you probably wouldve if you hadnt of heard that, * ends nonsence post littered with too much rambling that makes no sense
