at the pow gig, clint seemed to be the most 'popular' in the sense that he had the greatest number of ppl around him & talking to him. He seemed very down to earth, funny, friendly, and chatty. I asked if i could have a photo with him and he posed with no dismay. He was even throwing in smart-ass comments at the photographer, and was genuinely a tops bloke! a friend of mine said that clint is usually the one that chats the most to fans (from the gigs that she's been too, anyway), whilst steph can be snobby at times and paul melancholy / brooding / silent

yes thats a true point. paul can be off thinking sometimes, and it can be rude. ive emailed clint several times and he always makes joke, says "hehehe" a lot, while Steph actually kept it really brief, not that it bothered me. Paul? whoa, i dont think he's replied to either of my emails.
but its still cool 8)

I agree with you natsy, paul can be intense...When ever I email him, we often find ourselves descending into petty arguments about crap... (he takes being SNAG to another dimension, ladies). No, honestly he is usually loverly to talk to, just has his PMS days occasionally (like today for instance...) Clint definately strikes me as the most affable of the three of them (steph for my money comes across as a bit arrogant; not that I've ever met her or talked to her - don't know why this should be the case ). I know they are big fans of Neil Young. I reckon a cover of "Harvest" would be great - best feminist song ever written by a man

dream on, dream on, let me fill your cup, with the promise of a man...
that funny, cause i was walking down the street yesterday, and could hear paul singing in my head doing a karioke version of old man, complete with linda and james on backing vocals.
weird.
but hey, you guys have gotten responses from the band from emails? I emailed them each about twice but got naught. Maybe my questions sucked arse? Maybe i shouldn't have put the subjects as "Earn $$$ from Home" and "Free XXX Celebrities"? Or maybe i shouldn't have attached that 40 Meg WAV file of me covering s4k covering genie in a bottle?
not even a automated reply.....let it be said that The Sponge ain't soft when it comes to asking the hard questions.

I've never sent Steph an e-mail... I've sent Paul one, he replied (albeit in three words but imagine how many e-mails he must get, I'd keep it brief too!) and then I replied back again and got no response... I sent Clint two e-mails... got one reply. Maybe I need to pull on the "I'm from Mornington too" string a little more...

A spectacluar email technique (something out of the ordinary) is usually required to get a response. Being blonde, female, playing base guitar or being into blood sports might also help to get a return mail from paul (hahahahahah)

indecision: this is kinnda embarassing but a while back i flicked to the big arvo on at 4pm on channel 7 & who appears for an interview? none other then our beloved clint !! i was pretty shocked to say the least. he had to make some sort of a pizza sandwich while chatting for the segment. quite the chef by the looks of things!!

Paul and Steph will do most of the talking, and might just throw in a "yep" every now and then. Seems strange. But I love interviews that Clint does by himself! They always seem much less serious then when Steph or Paul do them. Serious is still good, but it's a nice change to just have someone talking about their dreams of becoming a "Fat jazz musician" ;D
