After several months of viewing the forum as a guest I finally decided to register... So, here I am. Dmitry, age 24, living in Moscow, Russia. This makes me another non-Australian SFK fan I discovered the band by watching a short clip of Electricity in 1999 and listening to some mp3s soon after. Actually, I like British and Australian rock scene but Something For Kate is definitely at #1 in my favourite bands chart! Well, I think it's enough for now... Gotta have some tea

Some of my friends are Silverchair fans. But the bands list ends here, since Silverchair is the only Aussie rock band that is popular here. (I got tired watching Anthem for the Y2K 5 times a day ) As for SFK, Powderfinger, Superjesus etc. - they seem to be completely unknown.

are there any russian rock groups that we should know about? what's the music scene like over there? The music scene here is mostly pop/dance stuff, a lot of girl bands/boy bands with Tatu being on top of the charts most of the time ;D. There are many rock bands as well but their sound is too, eh, "soft" (my personal opinion). So, if you're an SFK fan I don't think you'll become a fan of a Russian rock band... P.S. One of our rock bands, B-2, was formed by two Russian guys who had previously lived in Australia before coming back to our country!

Does that mean you think SFK are rockier than most of the 'rock' bands in Russia?? Wow!
