s4k want to do a live album....way cool!!
what does every one think - one show, or the best bits from lots of shows? I'd want to see a double cd - cee dee one with s4k pleasing record company and teenie boppers with manditory rock-pop singles/smash hits, and cee dee two with paul solo and/or s4k chillin' and minimal doing b-sides and covers and rarities. cee dee 1 will finish with pinstripe with the band, cee dee two will start with pinstripe solo with paul and finish with truly.
huh?

there should be another big day out announcement tomorrow, so hopefully SFK will feature on that. I also heard that Silverchair could possibily be announced as well - once again only a rumor. That'd be a pretty harsh move by the promoters though - limiting the age to 15+ and putting the chair on to play. Think of all the crying school girls that'd miss out....

it's official, announced today:
We are pleased as punch to announce the inclusion of the almighty SILVERCHAIR to the BIG DAY OUT series. UK's FAITHLESS are set to bring on a dynamic live show featuring the combination of founding member Rollo along with Sister Bliss, Maxi Jazz and cohorts in an eight piece live extravaganza that will prove why they are one of the most unique and adored dance acts in the world today. We also welcome two of Australia1s undisputed live heavyweights: SPIDERBAIT, the holy trinity of home-grown punk rock return to deliver the goods off the back of their explosive new album "The Flight Of Wally Funk" while
and wait for it
[glow=red,2,300]SOMETHING FOR KATE [/glow] continue their rise to meteoric music glory with their highly acclaimed album "Echolalia". American hip hop wonders JURASSIC 5 The JOHN BUTLER TRIO are living proof that you don't need a major label to succeed. Lock up your parents because Californian metal masters AMEN will tourAustralia for the very first time. Take the Guru out of the Hoodoo's and you get THE MONARCHS. Three piece power poppers ESKIMO JOE and the mischievous MACHINE GUN FELLATIO will thunder around the country presenting their musical antics. Local hip hop wonder woman MC TREY (East Coast only) will also join the circus along with Wollongong's favourite sons INFUSION who will shred it up in the Boiler Room. And Australian dance music pioneer STEPHEN ALLKINS aka [love] tattoo will bump up the Boiler Room with tunes from his debut album in 2002. Our new friends join the already announced PRODIGY, GARBAGE, NEW ORDER, REGURGITATOR, THE CRYSTAL METHOD, MAGIC DIRT, DAVE CLARKE, GERLING, SHIHAD, GRINSPOON, SUPERHEIST and NOFX.
And of course, that's not all. Standby for the next blast of international and local touring celebrities in the next week or so before our final BDO announcement in early December.
doesn't that sound like fun kids!

i dunno, you'd assume they'd get an early afternoon spot on the main stage, cause they've had a bit of commercial sucess, but i said that about You Am I last year and they wounded up on the RRR stage in the evening.

i dont really mind, as long as i see them. i think i would rather they not be on the mainstage anyway, because then you would be with lots or assholes just there because there is a band playing. i would rather be with a smalelr, more appreciative crowd. sigh.
