Hey this isnt a complete tab, just thought I'd throw what I stumbled upon in the air....
Intro: C Em C Em C D Am C Em
its does that about 3 times then
C D Am C C D Am C C D Am
The beginning C may be a Cadd9 (x32033)
I couldn't figure out the rest of the song (not that I gave it much time really), can anyone help?

Yeah, fixed that Cadd9 chord for you.

Most I could do of the chorus is: D Em Bm? C D ? I really doubt the accuracy in that, but it's a hint at least... The sound of the guitar seems to be pretty drowned out during the chorus which makes it difficult. I really love this song, it'd be good to be able to play it. PS Thanks SPDC, edited my post. Im positive its a Cadd9 too...

I dunno, haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but its (maybe?) easier to change to D from Cadd9.

Ok i saw paul play a solo gig last night at the zoo in brisbane... I paid attention when he played kaplan/thornhill. Mind you I had a few drinks so I couldn't really memorize the interlude (seemed pretty advanced anyway, typical paul ) It's definately Cadd9 Intro/verse: Cadd9 Em Cadd9 Em Cadd9 D Am Cadd9 Em Pre-chorus: Cadd9 D Am Cadd9 A5 (002200) Chorus: (all barre chords) D E B C He obviously doesnt use majors, but haven't had time to figure out what they were exactly, but he definately used those root notes with barre chords. I'll update this post if I ever get around to it.

Heres another bit to the Kaplan puzzle. This is the part after the 2nd chorus and before the nobody you.. bit.
--5-/-7-\-5--?--0--3--2-- --2-/-4-\-2--?--1--3--3-- --2-/-4-\-2--?--2--0--2-- ---------------?--2--0--0-- ---------------?--0--2--0-- ---------------?--0--3--0--
Then on the last time you replace the D chord with a Cadd9.
This seems to work. Anybody done the solo yet?
Cheers Matt ;D

I've mustered up my own interpretation of Kaplan / Thornhill, so go here for it: james.alternative.net.au/Kaplan%20Thornhill.txtPlease read the notes first Was gonna post it here, but it gets all mucky and a text file seemed like a better option at the time.
