I forget whether noise gates and noise suppresors are the same thing, but i have a ns built in with my boss me-50, and it's very awesome. Even on the highest setting it loses none of guitar sound.

I've been wondering about these too. Does anyone know how they're supposed to be set up, and if you can use one with a combo?

hello, i've used a noisegate before. i have a mesa boogie dual rectifier tremoverb 2x12 100watt combo and it is a kickass blues/metal/rock amp. using a noisegate on an amp stops the feedback. so if you have the gain cranked to the max, you can stand with your guitar hanging and not cover the strings and it doesn't feedback like crazy. jurds, i think the power attuenator you're talking about is kind of like a THD hotplate. -> www.thdelectronics.com/products/hotplate.htmgreat for tubeamps or high-gain amps. -adamg
