Not really sure on the specific pedals but there is a good shot of them in the rehearsal room video currently on the sfk main site.
I am no pedal guru but it looks like a line6 tremelo/vibrato type pedal (MM4 perhaps), a T-Rex distortion/overdrive, crowther hotcake? (not sure why he would need two overdrives), boss tu-2 tuner and a couple of others I am not sure of.
Don't know what the big triangular box is.....

Can you link me to the pic Jurds? I can't really be bothered finding it, especially since those bastards at Bigpond have slowed my net to a crawl >=(

From the A Diversion dvd, he uses the Boss Tremelo Pedal and Boss pedal tuner, but if you go to the SFK main page right now there's an iffy shot of his pedals and a really.. really... sweet custom telecaster..... mmmmmmmm

I saw SFK in London and got close to Paul's pedal board - this was on the Offical Fiction tour, and he was using an old silver VisualSound Jekyl and Hyde which is the triangular pedal you're talking about. They're red now - here's what they look like... www.visualsound.net/Pedal_jh.htmHe also had an old Ibanez Super Chorus (the purple one) like this www.guitar.com.au/effects/ibanez/cs9.htmI read in an interview a couple of years ago that he didn't use pedals though... just the amp ! Hmmm...

Probably when recording they didn't use pedals, or much pedals.
That's what I've read. Makes sense, usually the amps distortion is better than any pedal distortion you can get (at least in higher quality amps).
Then again, sometimes you can use a pedal to really drive the amp.

There were no effects pedals up until Beautiful Sharks era when Paul started using them sparingly. All the drive was coming from the amp (Trace Elliot Speed Twin). When the Fender Tonemaster came into action I think there was either a T-Rex or Crowther Hotcake occasionally used for overdrive sounds. These days he is using MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe for overdrive (no sure whether the amp is on dirty or clean channel)

what do you think he uses on the end of impossible, i would kill to play that solo and have it sound as cool as it was meant to be. Its like a weird bendy effect.
