Thrown out of a moving limousine Tied up in corners with no hope of escape Followed at high speed Roughed up and handcuffed and led away Dangled upside-down from a great height Tied to the rails as the train rounds the bend Hijacked and hotwired Snarled at by dogs against the chain-link fence Then she tells you Then she tells you Then she tells you you’re not home Sucked out of the airlock Cornered like a rat in the crowded city square Lowered into volcanoes Bound up back to back in smart matching chairs Then she tells you Then she tells you Then she tells you you’re not home My sweetheart dreams My sweetheart dreams in an empty bed My sweetheart dreams of revenge Left for dead in Mexico Forged and counterfeit invisible ink Cut out words on a ransom note Oh, I beg you honey, it’s not what you think Then she tells you Then she tells you Then she tells you you’re not home Then she tells you you’re not home Then she tells you you’re not home Then she tells you you’re not home ” we need a section for paul's solo album now

This has possibly been the first PD song that's easy to understand the lyrics.......only thing is I think it might be "handcuffed and led away". I also think Robbie Buck had a point when he aligned the song to Bon Iver's album, I can hear similarities.

What did Robbie Buck say aligning it to Bon Iver? Bon Ivers lyrics seem to evoke stronger images and seem more inventive to me (I cant really see the similarity at all to be honest), but I do like PDs melodic sense of closure.

mm id hardly compare it to bon iver. though i appreciate both, i do agree bon iver is somehow much more emotional. but much to different to compare them.

You know I always thought he sang "hijacked and heartwired"; I love the idea of "heartwired".
But now I think I was wrong. Did anyone else hear this differently?
