there were some good ones up on sfkforthenovice a while back. speaking of which, katy, is the site likely to be coming up again at some point? my other good source for sfk tabs has shut down (after not updating for 4 years), so its getting to the stage where i actually have to work out songs for myself (yeah, im selfish).

The acoustic version and the full band version are pretty much identical except for the intro (which is a slight variation on the band intro) and the verse which is:
e--0--0--0--0--0-- b--5--3--0--0--3-- g--6--2--2--6--2-- d--4--0--2--6--0-- a--0--0--0--4--0-- e--------------------
*I dont have a guitar with me so I am going from memory. Will double check when I get home.

I've still got all the tabs for the site. The site will be back up same date as the new album is released. I'm completely flat out at the moment but if I've got some time I'll dig up the tabs before then for you...

I can wait a month. Cheers Katy.
Jurds, your version is right. I think it was your tab I learnt most of the song from in the first place, so there you go.

I used a tab off of this site to play it live at school once.
It was an excellent tab that was mostly right.

This was pulled from katy's original site ages ago and this isn't my work - so credit goes to the real author. The format isn't great here, but if you copy the following into Notepad it will come out fine.

This took me ages to figure out then for the music understanders I've figured out all the 49 different shapes/names of the chords took many touch ups from what I originally had this is the closest I've gotten it, I'm sure this is exactly what's played on the CD it’s a brilliant song by a brilliant grou that I've wanted to play for about a year enjoy A-LICS
Its in 4:4 time but changes to 3:4 (I think) toward the song but returns back to normal

Hope someone can help me with this ... I have the Pinstripe (Acoustic) tab, tabbed by a "Ben Cass", which was on the sfkforthenovice site when it was running. (Not the tab posted above). My problem is I get a bit lost toward the end of the song. Someone with this same tab printed out might be able to help me. After the "not trying to sound" bit, when it launches into "you're the last day of April.." do you go back to the standard "verse" progression (eg. the "There is no need to throw your arms around" chords) or do you play something else that i'm not seeing here? Also, what do you play in the "walk in a straight line" bit? It that just "verse" aswell? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

The "you're the last day of April" part is the chorus chord progression and the "walk in a straight line" part you play what you play in the breakdown after the 2nd chorus but with more intensity.

You play the same bit you play in the trees stand in a perfect line bit.

For those who need it spelt out more clearly, this is the way I hear it.
Paste into Notepad to see it properly.
e-----------------------------------------5-| B-----------------------------------------5-| G----------------------2--2-2-4--4--4--6--7-| D-4--4--4--4--4--4--4--2--2-2-4--4--4--6--7-| A-4--4--4--4--4--4--4--0--0-x-2--0--2--4--5-| E-2--2--0--4--2--4--2-------4---------------| " You're the last day of April every year"
e--4---2---0-----|--5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5---| B--5---2---0-----|--5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5---| G--6---2---6-----|--7-6-7-6-7-6-7-6---| D--6---4---7-----|--7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7---| A--4---4---7-----|--5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5---| E------2---5-----|--------------------| "walk in a straight line"
