Hamburg show (22/05/2210)

Here's a little review from the Hamburg show at Pony Bar (22/05/2010)

There were about 50 people in the bar in Hamburg, many of them were from Australia.
When I first sat outside the bar and had a drink with my girl, Paul suddenly came out to have a walk around the area and I was awestruck (since it was the first time I saw him in the flesh after waiting 6 years – got into SFK just one week after they have been here in Germany supporting David Bowie in may 2004). So charismatic and relaxed.
He began playing at 21.30h for about 80min. He made jokes between songs.
After the show he made much time for the people, having chats, taking photos, signing etc. That was really cool. A very likeable guy.

I had a moment like that too on the first night at the Monto Water Rats Theatre Bar in London! I was just having a chat and a drink with a girl I'd just met and suddenly she was like, "There's Paul Dempsey!" It was weird seeing him in the flesh so close after obsessing about him for years lol. He went out of the bar to use the phone and nobody even noticed him but us! You can read more about that night in the review I posted in the French Dude's post about 18th May in London
