It's a pity Say Something only got to position 63. It should have at least got in the top 10. Humph. i would have to disagree... its one of their worst songs, so i didn't vote for it...... i wouldn't disagree with any of the b-sides though A few points: - I don't mind the Machine Gun Fellatio songs that got in. They're not deep stuff, but they're decent ear candy.
i wouldn't call them decent ear candy after watching their lousy attempt to follow up cog at the big day out [/li][li]System of a Down does nothing for me.
maybe so, but they are much better of the majority of content in there...... [/li][li]Why did The Androids' Do It With Madonna beat SFK's song? Why did The Androids' Do It With Madonna get in the list at all!?
why do many songs get in there.... maybe its just the unanimous bad taste in music shown by people.... but then again, maybe we are all wrong if people like it.... maybe the androids are brilliant musicians who just wrote a masterpiece, and maybe we're just too naiive to realise it [/li][li]That Willcania Mob song got it? Goes to show what can happen if you flog something enough on JJJ.
...and this has happened so many times with so much other crap [/li][li] Moter Ace, Schmoter Schpace.
did they even release anything this year? i sure made sure i avoided them since their 1st album.... [/li][li]My plan to have Hawaiian Robots make the list didn't work. Tch. I thought, "hey, it's on the J Files greatest b-sides CD and some other CD".
neither did my attempts in getting fan club members to vote for the following bands: cog, earthtone 9, vacant stare, fony, miocene, sinch, and dredg [/li][li]And the winner is..... queens of the stone age - no one knows. Bah. [/li][/ul]
at least josh homme is finally getting a fraction of the respect he deserves... too bad its for the lesser of his bands..... though qotsa are pretty good, kyuss were easily one of the best bands ever in existence yay i just managed a tiberius trademark style post breakdown and analysis..... go me edit: hahaha... i just noticed he did it to me whilst i was doing this... i guess he is just the master

Um, who? Heh. exactly... one day they'll all be big (well probably not all ) anyways.... i can now incorporate flyn Gower's (of cog) inspirational speech in their big day out set....... he said that everone should go to see a local band at least once a week.... you don't need to like them, you can find something else to occupy your attention.... but it means a lot to them..... ....though all 11 times i've seen cog have been because i think they are absolutely brilliant....

i would have to disagree... its one of their worst songs, so i didn't vote for it...... Ack ack ack! No way! Say Something is great. It's something I can relate to, when you're talking to someone and it's like talking to a brick wall, and you're bored and you want them to say something that'll knock you over and make you realise that you and that person are kindred spirits instead of concrete and grass. I love this song! i wouldn't call them decent ear candy after watching their lousy attempt to follow up cog at the big day out To be fair, I haven't heard Cog or seen them yet so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt there. but then again, maybe we are all wrong if people like it.... maybe the androids are brilliant musicians who just wrote a masterpiece, and maybe we're just too naiive to realise it Nope. That Androids' song is just crap in my not so humble opinion. at least josh homme is finally getting a fraction of the respect he deserves... too bad its for the lesser of his bands..... though qotsa are pretty good, kyuss were easily one of the best bands ever in existence I've heard a few of QOTSA songs on the radio. They're okay I guess, they don't really grab me that much though. I want you to talk like it's a breakthroughThey don't really do that for me yeah. yay i just managed a tiberius trademark style post breakdown and analysis..... go me You're welcome. edit: hahaha... i just noticed he did it to me whilst i was doing this... i guess he is just the master I've had practice.

well i won't reattempt the post analysis, so i'll just add a few things..... as for QOTSA, my respect for them soared after seeing them at them at the big day out.... i always considered them the lesser of kyuss... but now they are the really good lesser of kyuss.... but then again beating kyuss isn't something many bands will ever do and as for the androids.... i've only heard the song once, but it was one time too many......

Back to Silverchair, hasn't Diorama been their least popular album? Nothing i have heard from it does anything for me, but i don't believe they did something different to purely make more money. But it's the same as always, what do we know??

Yeah, Motor Ace released there second album 'Shoot This'
I have both of there albums.....and well, Shoot This does have some okay songs, but Five Star Laundry is much better in my opinion.

i think that if silverchair had wanted to make money, it would have been a lot easier to continue on in the same way that they have been going. it's not like they werent making any money before. i think what silverchair are doing now is creating more positive music, which is apparently a difficult task. from what i've heard, daniel johns was sick of all the sympathy after writing neon ballroom... i suppose that he's less fucked up now.
i join in fishboy's cog crusade. they're an awesome band, and their gigs usually cost $10, so everyone should see them. i've only seen them 4 times to his 11 (i'm stuck in the country at the moment), but they really get to you

Yikes its funny seeing a post with 10x Quotes!
Was Augie in there at all? I couldnt be bothered fully checking. I'm surprised Say Something actually made it! Oh well, it wasnt a huge single compared to Monsters or to a lesser extent, Three Dimensions.

Definitely not feelin' the lack of love for the ace in this thread. Not cool, kiddies. Anyways...I managed to pick Number one this year...sure it was kinda obvious...but I aint ever done it before Did Grohl drum on every Queens track? That'd make nine contributions this year...only the cure can equal that! Go the Techniques! Good stuff ;D 50 Aussie/NZ trracks is fantastic too. Not really sold on MGF's music...but they were good value in the studio
