It's a pity Say Something only got to position 63. It should have at least got in the top 10. Humph. A few points: - I don't mind the Machine Gun Fellatio songs that got in. They're not deep stuff, but they're decent ear candy.
- While I don't mind The Vines' cover of Ms Jackson, I can't stand the rest of their songs.
- Ben Lee can bite me.
- System of a Down does nothing for me.
- Why did The Androids' Do It With Madonna beat SFK's song? Why did The Androids' Do It With Madonna get in the list at all!?
- That Willcania Mob song got it? Goes to show what can happen if you flog something enough on JJJ.
- I don't mind Eminem's song Lose Yourself (though slot # 7 is a little too high) but why did people vote for Eminem's song Without Me? Urgh.
- Moter Ace, Schmoter Schpace.
- My plan to have Hawaiian Robots make the list didn't work. Tch. I thought, "hey, it's on the J Files greatest b-sides CD and some other CD".
- And the winner is.....
queens of the stone age - no one knows. Bah.
exactly my thoughts and that bloody Willcania Mob song..grr..marky knows how much i hate that song

Well i thought that this years Hot 100 was a pretty solid set of songs, especially compared with the last few years. It was good to see a decent band take top spot, my only real problem was that the Foos didn't get in the top ten. As for the Wilcannia Mob, they aren't my cup of tea but i was at a party yesterday and when it came on everyone was totally psyched and happy.

Sorry Glen, not a Motor Ace fan here. [cue clichéd response # 142:] all their songs sound the same to me.

Shoot This did have a few songs that I liked- 'Ride the Wave' 'Oppurtunity' 'Where did you go?' But on a whole, I liked Five Star Laundry a lot more. It had more variety to it. Siamese is my favourite. Awesome guitars at the beginning.

oh... i forgot to say... i think exactly the same thing about that lo-tel band..... is it my imagination or did those 2 bands come out at exxactly the same time with exactly the same sounding songs getting the exact same high radio rotation and tv show exposure...... on an unrelated note.... 'm bored so i'm thinking of going and putting my famous cog banner in my sig....... but since no one else here had banners i kind of gathered there was a mutual agreement that no one likes banners here or something.... or maybe no one could be bothered using any......... anyways i think i'll go get my banner

Firstly I must say Motor Ace remind me nothing of Lotel. Motor Ace are good, Lotel are on the crappish side. I've seen Motor Ace numerous times live and love them to bits, especially Mr Dave (yes oh yet another hot man by that name) Ong! I do agree the older stuff was better...oohh Chromakey, Siamese, Death Defy (live )and Five Star Laundry. Off Shoot This I enjoy For Yourself, Ride The Wave and Feathers.

he just compramosed the quality of his music for financial gain bah diorama still sucks some serious arse Normally, i wouldn't care but I would like to say something. On the Diorama DVD, you will clearly see the direct opposite. An American record company guy (quite frankly a wanker) was not happy with a few of the songs on Diorama because they were not your typical 'rock singles' and didn't have enough commercial appeal, therefore may not do well on American radio. If Daniel Johns had compromised the quality of his music for financial gain, he would've changed them, and perhaps they would've made more money in the US. But he didn't...he refused to sing the songs a different way, or to change them. I don't think financial gain means a thing to him...its more likely that the quality of his music means much much more. Anyway, that's nothing personal, just wanted to let you know.
