I (MattK) registered that channel Amy, but I'll happily sign it over to katy if she wants altnet to be the new channel home. It's a very small server, and as such will mean that the only traffic in the chat room will be people who come via the website or word of mouth, and not people just cruising around irc who stumble on the channel accidently. Whether this is a good thing or not, I don't know. We'd prolly get more traffic if it was on a bigger server, but as we've seen, the bigger servers tend to be more unstable. So I guess it depends on what katy wants. Lemme know if you want control of the altnet channel.

On a side note, I loved northern exposure and miss it dearly. The last season wasn't as good, after Joel left, but the early seasons were great! Ahh those were the days...

I've been thinking... i knew DALnet was shit, but this is really shit.


Ok, so it's buggered, the only reason I still was there was for mp3alt and its gone now so let's move.

I used to use AUSTnet years back. It's mediumish in size, Australian, has Channel services (so you can register channels - i dont think you can do that on EFnet) and it also hides everyone's IPs unlike DALnet and EFnet. I put a vote in for AUSTnet.
