LOL oooh reading these posts has brought back memories, some I think I'd rather forget (achey breaky heart being at the top of the list) If I remember correctly didn't Billy Ray Cyrus have a mullet? His whole wardrobe ugh... tight jeans, pointy leather boots...ugh
- slap bands were the best I remember having a few of those. - astro boy was one of my favourite cartoons as well as gumby and sooty. - what about happy pants does anyone remeber them?!! That was about mid nineties I think.

Back to the topic.... I haven't heard all of the forth coming album but I have got a few mp3's; Come With Me, El Sol, Crysanthemum, Careless Love, Candy Came Calling, Honestly etc... I'm not quite sure what to think yet as I haven't heard that much. But there's definately a resemblence to the softer side of the pumpkins, but how could there not be really with Billy Corgan being the frontman. 'Honestly' is one of those songs that just sticks in your head (I had it in my head all morning). Is there anything like the heavier crazier side of the pumpkins on there? If so what are the names of the songs?

Billy Corgan is a whiny little bitch who should have taken the Kurt Cobain pain management course.

Is there anything like the heavier crazier side of the pumpkins on there? If so what are the names of the songs? nothing you'd call heavy (well not machina heavy anyway), "Ride A Black Swan" and maybe "Jesus I"... "Lyric" reminds me of Cherub Rock for some reason. does anyone know Billy's religous beliefs? cause there are a hell of alot of references to faith and prayer

I think Billy worships...............himself. The most arrogant man in rock for 10 years running. Yay.
Having said that, I love Mayonaise by the Pumpkins.

hi Kristy - I just wanted to point out that I think Fuel are massive cock-rockers. They should all be executed for ever covering Elton John's "Daniel".

zwann just sounds like happier smashing pumpkins from what i've heard.

Fuel? As cockrock? Um, don't they at least have to wear their underpants on the outside of their leather pants to be considered as cockrock? i think i was too young to comment on music. in the early early nineties i used to listen to kylie minogue, roxette and for some reason andrew lloyd webber You should hang your head in shame for liking Kylie Minogue, but there's nothing wrong with Roxette and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

But only Brett plays on their version of Daniel Sharky...and it aint so bad...though he howls a little bit too much. Did you ever post on the Fuel boards Kristy? I been there over two years now Roxette, John Farnham and Michael Jackson were my big favorites in the early nineties, and I still think they all go alright. I didn't know of grunge until 93 or 94 And Darkwing Duck freaking ruled.

Roxette always scared me. I could never tell if it was the guy or girl who were singing at anyone time...
