i think the gift-giving part of xmas is really over-rated. people spend so much many on absolute crap. people get disappointed. people forget that it isn't just about the presents. having said that, and since i'm the youngest, this year we did a kk thing within our family, and each had to spend $50 on whoever we got. that was it. sure, it would've been nice to get a new computer or something lavish that i don't really need, but eh, i didn't NEED it. my sister got me and got me a calendar, book and dvd. better than nothing. but we also did a treasure hunt my sister arranged, using things she'd picked up from her work at a pharmacy, so i got lots of lipstick, nail polish, perfume samples, a funky bag, boxes of condoms, everything. that was really cool i thought. then we did a xmas trivia game, and i won (woo!) and got lots of lollies. i like that the best about our xmas - we play games, go swimming, get shit-faced, but always together. ahh.

Well i got
Money Clothes Air fare to Melbourne Camera And lots of 'nice' things.
More then i expected! I really didn't get into christmas this year, i'm usually SO excited about it, but it just didn't happen. And it didn't help that i spent the whole night sick, and no it wasn't alochol induced.

Christmas is overated it's all about gifts, spending money and more gifts! Half the people don't even believe in God let alone the birth of Christ. The meaning of Xmas has totally been lost. I don't celebrate it! But over the festive season I still had a great time. I went with a group of friends down to the beach. We stayed in Geelong and then travelled to Torquay, Anglesea and Lorne. Another thing that is overated is Bells Beach

i think christmas is multi-faceted. there's the religious side of it, but then there's the time-to-spend-with-family-and-friends bit.
i also hate the obligate present buying; you go shopping and just buy any inane old thing in order to give someone a present that you know they won't remember in a week.
that said, i got: books dvds clothes make up assorted miscellania.

Yah...I am atheist, but still, Christmas is one of the most important times of the year for me I figure it's a way to celebrate the end of the year, spend time with your family, eat, drink, be merry, be thankful for what you have (And even more thankful for what you get ))...that sorta thing. Life's too short to complain aboot it man...just enjoy it! Only happens once a year

still, it's ridiculous how much is spent on presents and all those advertisments and shit. i much prefer going to the beach and playing cricket with my unco dad then receiving another present i don't really deserve.

nothing. hence the reason i wrote on my kk list, "don't even bother getting me anything sfk. i know they're my favourite group, but if you can find it, i've got it. anything i want, you can't find. guaranteed."
