Hey guys, Haven't been here for ages but thought I would come here and ask for some gig advice... I'm pretty terrible when it comes to gigs. I like to either be up the front or have a better view than everyone else otherwise I get angry. It's one of my most horrible flaws. But if I can't be up the front I at least like to know what I'm in for before I get to the gig. Just got myself tix to QOTSA at the UNSW Roundhouse (I lined up for the enmore but decided not to buy a ticket 'cos I don't like sitting down at that venue - how pathetic is that?), and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about it. i.e. do you have to line up really early to get in, how is it laid out, etc. I was also wondering, for anyone who might go to the uni there, if there are any parking spaces around. The gig isn't 'till July 19, but thought I'd inquire while it was fresh in my mind. It's also 'cos I have to co-ordinate my boyfriend from Orange to get there at the same time as me... (from helpless and confused, NSW Thanks people.

No, he doesn't, I'm afraid. Most of the time he goes by the name of Dave. But I don't blame you for trying - it's a small world for the music-lovers in Orange.

Yes, yes it is. I have an old mate who lives in Orange, I used to make web-communities with him, but I've lost contact. Just thought I'd try. Hey!! Can anyone help this girl out?!!! They all ignore me here Good luck

You may be better off to catch a bus from the city they come every 10 min's untill late.. you should check it out on 131500.com and to see the lay out I recon you should check out the UNSW website Im sure they would have some pics available...

After all that whinging, what ended up happening is that I elected to drive with the aforementioned boyfriend, leaving nice and early, of course, and the car decided that it would chuck a tantrum and stop, in peak hour, in the right lane near the top of Cleveland St.
We caused a huge traffic jam and had to be towed to the nearest servo while we waited 2 hours for the NRMA... The dude told us to drive straight home after he fixed the car, but we decided to take the risk of the car never starting again and drove to the roundhouse.
We got there 10 mins before the QOTSA set started, luckily enough. Top set. Although their keyboard player was kinda freaking me out.
