Argh, when I read the thread title I thought they were gonna be on! I don't think they have...I think it's high time they did though!

further news from their mailing list:
You may have heard Waikiki have cancelled the rest of their dates on the Augie March tour, due to Juanita losing her voice.
The band have chosen to play a longer set rather than bring in another band...so you are in for a long treat if you are going to any of the remaining shows, particularly either of The Metros.
There will be tickets at the door for both shows, so if you haven't got your yet do not despair, just rock up on the night and they will be on sale there.
Considering the form the band is in, I recommend it for Augie fans.

I was at the Friday Metro gig. It was awesome (posted a very long and over-excited rant about it on Soundczech). We didn't realise Waikiki weren't going to play because we didn't see the signs as we came in. We got there at 8 and nothing happened til well after 9, and we couldn't figure out why. AM didn't seem to play a longer set - in fact, going by a description of the Melbourne gig on Soundczech they played for a bit less. Still an amazing gig though.

yeah i went to the sat night gig at the metro was good they played for about 2 hours i enjoyed i don't know much of their music, but thought it was very good and they're funny the drummer was amusing he had sunnies on and no shirt and his moustache and glen said he looked like a gay biker. then they said he looked like chopper and the lighting guy started putting white spot lights only on the drummer. was amusing. drummer said to stop it and lighting guy kept flashing the lights did anyone else go?
