album number 7 out next week www.radiohead.com/very interesting way of distributing, you can either buy a double cd and get the download next week, or pay however much you want for just the download

yeah, its right up there with their best
a little less rock-y than HTTT, but it works so well as one big album. so glad they take the hard stance with not letting people buy single songs on itunes and such

I think they're pretty smart as for the distribution thingy... Now, every fan can pay whatever they want to download their latest album... I guess that, this way, all the money goes directly into their pockets and not into the records company's pockets. Anyway, I'm glad they haven't decided to put it on iTunes coz' it would've sucked!!

DEFINITELY a good album, I found myself going back to it again and again.
Nude was disappointing in my opinion, but Weird Fishes is fantastic.
I wasn't disappointed, but it feels a little like they've just decided to release a bunch of songs that have been knocking around for a while. It hasn't had the same effect on me as other Radiohead albums, I think maybe because it's not quite as atmospheric as previous albums.. which i like...
A good album nonetheless, and I'm looking forward to getting a hard copy if they release one for less than 40 pounds.
How much did you folks pay for it? I'm a nobhead, so I paid $0.00...

Some people REALLY need to have a good listen. What the hell, I must be one of few who think this album really isn't that much in terms of general Radiohead goodness.
There might be one or two songs which have some redeeming qualities, but as said on another forum, it feels like a compilation of their 'leftovers'. Some songs go like 75% of the way, but its overall just an extension of their previous stuff and nothing too ground breaking, like the usual radiohead creativity.

I agree it's not groundbreaking, but I think it's a very enjoyable album.
I can definitely see where you're coming from though. It's not the giant leap forward we kind of expect from Radiohead, and it does feel like a compilation a bit. But i still think it sounds good.

after reading a few comments in this thread, it wouldn't surprise me if radiohead jumped up and went 'this is just an out-takes album! here's the real one'

I got my discbox last week, very very nice package.
the weird thing is that the LPs are full size but play at 45rpm? i guess they did that to stretch it out over 2 LPs or something. oh well, i doubt i'll ever spin them anyway
