I noticed someone started a thread about books. I'd like to know some good movies to see. I'm obsessed and I have seen MANY. There are a lot of classics like "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" that I've overlooked, but are so old no one talks about them anymore. Any suggestions? Even if you just want to post your personal fave that is ok

Donnie Brasko is an old Johnny Depp one but is very good (and you probably haven't seen it). Also try The Machinist - Christian Bale. It's supposed to be very good. It was only recently released on DVD due to demand.

There's a little movie called Howl's Moving Castle playing at the cinemas at the moment. It's released by a production company called Studio Ghibli and directed by a famous Japanese animator, Hayao Miyazaki. His movies on the surface are directed at a younger audience but from my experience people of all ages enjoy these movies. His movies tend to have a magical and spritual theme (you may have seen Spirited Away a couple of years ago) and you should at least try to catch some of these movies if you haven't seen them before.
SBS over the next few weeks is showing the movies of Miyazaki on Wednesday nights at 10pm. The english language versions are playing, actors like, Claire Danes, Gillian Anderson, Billy Bob Thornton, Christian Bale, Billy Crystal and Lauren Holly have contributed their voices to these movies.

Low Blow is the funniest movie ever, and costs around $3 in the budget section of most stores
