Does "always showing a lack of interest" constitute being called an interest?

Does anyone know what these guys have been up to lately?
Are they still around?
Any news of a new album?

It's Hyperballad (originally by Björk). I'd upload it but don't have anywhere to put it. Their website hasn't been updated for over a year. Where are they? Edit: Sent it to the mp3share gmail thing

no probs On the topic of Big Heavy Stuff, in the notes for their most recent album they give a thank you to "Something for Kate", and also another one to "Stephanie Ashworth". Anyone know why Steph would get her own special mention? Maybe they were close to Sandpit as well? hmmm

Well, I have been told by a very reliable source that Big Heavy Stuff are no more.
Which sucks, because I never saw them live.

Yep, they are pretty much done (not a decision all members are happy with.) Greg is still writing songs but what will come of them is unknown.....
There was talk of a couple of final farewell shows but how serious it was I aint sure.
A damn shame.....a band that were brilliant from album to album and their live shows were fantasitc. They approached SFK to support them for their 10 year ann. gig......just as well they didnt cause I saw them the following night and they would have blown SFK off the stage.
JMHO
MD: Not sure about the steph connection but often bands will lend gear to each other during the recording process for different sounds without having to hire/buy it. Just a thought....

Maybe she did some photography, artwork, filled in live, or just bought them a beer.
(Maybe they like SFK's music but are not fans of Paul and Clint)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this thread is kind of old, but i have a question.
if BHS aren't together anymore, would that make it hurt less if i burnt an album of theirs? there's too many CD's i want to buy right now. i've borrowed their Dear Friends And Enemies album from the library a couple of times. should i just burn it?

mmmmmm I would.
I'd like to get hold of some of their other stuff. "Dear Friends and Enemies" is the only album I have, and its excellent, but I haven't seen anything else locally.
Looks like I'll be ordering online...
