still, it could end up being decent like recovery. recovery for the most part was shit, but i think anyone could be very happy if they could handpick some of the live performances from that show

How can i name a better one in the world when i haven't listened to radio outside of NSW?
the point is not whether JJJ is the best radio station or not. the point is that JJJ sucks. It is definitely the best radio station i have come accross in nsw. Some of the presenters are pretty decent. It is sometimes bearable. these things i cannot say about other stations i have listened to. but being the best when the competition is putrid doesn't make it good. It just makes it not as bad.

If i am forced to listen to radio, i choose JJJ because it isn't bogged down by irritating ads. and because they don't play Nickelback. and because the hosts aren't completely retarded (though dools is).
But, I never find myself wanting to listen to the radio. I avoid it at most costs.
I'd like to be able to turn the radio and and discover a really good band i haven't heard before. I'd like to know that the really hard working bands out there on the local scene are being discovered and supported by radio. I'd like to think radio didn't follow the trends and fads, and had some sort of consistency. JJJ try to make you thinnk they do this. but they don't. and in my opinion, they suck

You havent got anything to compare with if youve never heard any other radio station outside NSW. And if this is the best of the ones you have heard then how do you know it sucks? How do you know radio gets better than triple j?

i used to listen to triple m just for tony martin's show (used to be a fan of mick molloy / tony martin)... its an alright show - but im sick of nickleback / james blunt. i agree with Mark, Triple J does (somewhat suck) but its better than the other crap out there.

mick molloy's show was pretty decent back when it started on triple m as well, but now its just dropped off faster then Fox FM / Today FM's personaility (wait - they had one?). I should really listen to Triple R (local melb radio station) some more... I usually listen to Triple J when they have a good feature artist. I've discovered some good bands on the J and slowly expanding my music knowledge.

Triple J is the medium between Triple R and Triple M in my opinion. Triple M is too commercial, Triple R is too.. hippy, haha. Triple J is just right.

Sure, it's hit and miss, but everything is.
